Apgujeong Rodeo hair salon root straightening in 2 hours: Biorn Hair

(2026.09.18) I took a half-day off on a Friday afternoon. Being Friday and having half the day off put me in a really good mood. I usually book my root magic straightening appointments well in advance, because my curls are pretty intense, so I get it done every 3-4 months.

How to get to Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo

Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo is a 1-minute walk from Exit 5 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station, on the 3rd floor of the building. This time I visited the Apgujeong Rodeo branch. It's near my office, so it was easy to stop by after taking a half-day off on a weekday. Relaxed weekday afternoon vibes~~

Being right by the subway, it's also a great spot for people getting around on foot~

It's on the 3rd floor, so you just take the stairs up~

The staff greeted me warmly right when I walked in, which put me in a good mood. They brought a drink and a snack first, and I waited a bit for my designer! I asked for plain water, but if you want a drink, just ask for one~

Hair condition before the root straightening

My hair had already grown out a lot and was bending at odd angles ㅠㅠ It's wavy and curly but also the kind of hair texture that bends, so root magic straightening is just non-negotiable for me ㅠㅠㅠ People say curls tend to loosen up as you get older, but that's apparently not me haha. My curl doesn't seem to be letting up at all~

How Biorn Hair does root magic straightening, step by step

At Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo, root magic straightening goes: heat treatment → shampoo → straightening iron → neutralizer. Designer Suji did my root magic straightening! She told me she'd had the same treatment done on her own hair too~ First came the heat treatment, then after shampooing she straightened my hair with the iron. Two stylists worked on it together, so it went faster than I expected!!

They picked up small sections of hair and straightened them carefully, one bit at a time! They also made sure to tell me to speak up right away if anything got too hot~

After the straightening work, they applied the neutralizer to my hair. After all that ironing, it actually felt cool and refreshing~~

My hair was totally flattened down hahaha. We chatted comfortably the whole time like friends, so there wasn't a dull moment. I didn't even have time to check my phone hahaha

After the root straightening: 4 hours expected, done in 2

I came in expecting it to take around 4 hours, but the root magic straightening was actually finished in about 2 hours. I think having two stylists working on it together is exactly why it went so fast~

Ta-da! My hair came out perfectly straight and smooth, which made me really happy~

Whenever it's around time for a touch-up, my hair gets frizzy and puffs up in a way that stresses me out, but this time it turned out really calm and settled!!

Even the inner layers came out neat and clean~ I'm so happy that I won't need to use a flat iron on busy mornings for a while!!

Inside the salon and when Biorn Hair is closed

The interior of Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo is spacious and clean, so it feels pretty comfortable. It was a quiet weekday afternoon, so I took some photos of the interior. But right after I finished taking photos, suddenly a lot of customers showed up haha. I guess since it was Friday, everyone was stopping by the salon after finishing work~ I kept noticing them cleaning the salon regularly and checking on the humidifier too~

I'd definitely recommend designer Suji for root magic straightening! Just a heads-up that the salon is closed on Tuesdays~~
