Lately every night I get hit with cravings and start dreaming of hot soup 🤤 So today I'm bringing an honest review of a place you can hit up anytime late at night without any pressure and eat until you're stuffed! A Sinjeongnegeori favorite, a donkatsu (pork cutlet) spot — Haengbokhan Udon Gage Sinjeongnegeori. Here's my review after enjoying the cheese donkatsu 👉

The store had various seating — 2-seaters, 4-seaters — and was spacious enough for about 12 tables. It felt comfortable for eating alone!

The menu at Haengbokhan Udon Gage Sinjeongnegeori Station Branch is varied, from all kinds of udon to soba, memil (buckwheat noodles), donkatsu, rice bowls, and drinking snacks. The two of us ordered the cheese donkatsu (₩11,900) and the whole shrimp rice bowl (₩11,900).

The cheese donkatsu at Haengbokhan Udon Gage Sinjeongnegeori Station Branch had cheese packed edge-to-edge inside the batter, giving it a stunning cheese-pull look. The whole shrimp rice bowl came in a tin pot, with about eight whole shrimp inside.

The cheese donkatsu had savory, soft cheese packed completely inside the freshly fried batter, no gaps at all ㅠㅠ!!

Next up is the spicy whole shrimp rice bowl!! 🦐 It came in a charming tin pot, which somehow made it look even more appetizing haha

Inside were plump shrimp and vegetables braised in a spicy-sweet sauce, topped with seaweed flakes. There were about eight whole shrimp 🥳
