Sinnonhyeon bakery full at night: fig croissant, Bakerist Brown
In short
Bakerist Brown is a large bakery café in Gangnam, Seoul, spread over four floors (B1 to 3F) between Exit 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station and the CGV alley near Gangnam Station. On an evening visit, Bakerist Brown's salt cream coffee cost 7,800 won, the fig croissant 8,300 won and an 8-piece Gangnam Sand cookie set 19,000 won, and the London Fog sand tasted strongly of Earl Grey. I went to Bakerist Brown, a bakery café tucked behind the CGV alley near Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station!

I tried the sweet-and-salty salt cream coffee, a fragrant fig croissant, and Bakerist Brown's signature Gangnam Sand!

What is on the bread counter at Bakerist Brown?
Walking into Bakerist Brown, the first thing you notice is the bakery case packed full on the left side. It runs in an L-shape and has a huge variety of breads, plus dessert cakes, cookies, and puddings!

Fig croissant ₩8,300, peach kouign-amann ₩9,500, peach pavlova ₩9,500. They're piled high with fresh seasonal fruit — I knew I had to try one *_*

The bakery lineup is really impressive too — salt bread, madeleines, egg tarts, so many varieties.

I snapped photos of the ones that looked most delicious. I visited in the evening, and quite a few trays were already empty here and there!

This is Bakerist Brown's signature Gangnam Sand! Each colorful variety comes in a different flavor — sweet pumpkin, black sesame, ganache, Earl Grey, and more.

Seating on floors 1 to 3 in the evening
Bakerist Brown is a large café using all three floors, but when I visited in the evening every floor was packed with people, so I could only photograph the empty tables haha. Next to the bakery case there were café goods like T-shirts and mugs for sale.

What we ordered: salt cream coffee, fig croissant and the 8-piece Gangnam Sand set
My order arrived! Salt cream coffee ₩7,800, fig croissant ₩8,300, and the Gangnam Sand cookie set (8 pieces) ₩19,000.

The croissant was piled high with sweet, ripe figs — there was no way I could skip it haha. I also got to try a variety of flavors with the 8-piece Gangnam Sand set.

The top of the croissant was covered in sweet figs, and both the inside and top were filled generously with soft whipped cream. Figs are delicious on their own, but paired with the soft cream and flaky croissant, it tasted even better.

What does the London Fog Gangnam Sand taste like?
Each Gangnam Sand flavor is made with different ingredients, and maybe because the fruit or flavor content is high, each one tasted distinct and strong. The London Fog Gangnam Sand I tried that day had Earl Grey and chocolate — the sand part had a strong Earl Grey flavor while the filling was sweet, giving me a proper sugar rush!

The packaging was also neat and tidy, so it seemed like a good option for a light gift or to take home for tea time snacks!
The salt cream latte had thick cream on top like an Einspänner, sprinkled generously with salt, making it perfect to enjoy for that sweet-salty-bitter combo!
Is Bakerist Brown worth a visit in the evening?

Overall, Bakerist Brown has a spacious store and a wide variety of breads and desserts — especially the seasonal fruit desserts and the signature Gangnam Sand you don't easily find at other cafés, which made it fun just to browse. Even with plenty of space across three floors, it was nearly full of people when I visited in the evening. It's also easily accessible from Gangnam Station or Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's a great spot when you want delicious desserts and coffee together! If you're looking for a large bakery café near Gangnam Station or Sinnonhyeon Station, give Bakerist Brown a try!
