I recently visited one of the trendiest sentimental bakery cafés around Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon these days — a favorite for dessert gifts and bakery-hopping alike. Every time I walked past, the nutty butter smell and the European-style exterior had me curious, and I finally made it inside.
It's Bakerist Brown, located right between Sinnonhyeon Station and Gangnam Station! As someone who really loves bread and desserts, I've been to countless bakeries, but this place nailed my taste completely — from the exterior to the interior atmosphere,

and even the quality of the signature desserts. I really wanted to introduce it. If you're looking for a Sinnonhyeon Station bakery or a nice-vibe dessert café in Gangnam for gifting, pay attention!

What does Bakerist Brown's European-style space look like?
As soon as I reached the entrance, a sleek, elegant black-framed door and a charming sign with the hours (11:00–22:30) greeted me. A pretty poster for Bakerist Brown's signature gift set, 'Gangnam Sand', was posted right by the door, building anticipation before I even walked in.

Once inside, warm wood-toned furniture, elegant rattan chairs, and soft lighting combined to make me feel like I'd stepped into a cozy old European café.

Thanks to the sunlight pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and the lovely round tables, this place was a total sunlight-and-vibe hotspot — every photo turned out great no matter how I shot it. It's also a perfect space to sit cozily with a friend or partner and chat.

How do the 8 Gangnam Sand cookie flavors taste?
You can't skip Bakerist Brown's signature menu item, the 'Gangnam Sand'! It comes in a luxurious dedicated box package, so it's popular not only for dessert time but also as a gift or thank-you present. It's made up of 8 different flavors, so there's real fun in picking which ones to eat.

- Rich Ganache: a deep, luxurious chocolate flavor that fills your mouth
- Cream Forest: bittersweet yet smooth matcha balanced with cream cheese
- Black Grain: a wellness-style dessert with standout nutty black sesame and grain flavor

- London Fog: a gentle, fragrant milk tea Earl Grey flavor
- Golden Hour: a sweet, crisp butter caramel flavor
Opening the box, the sandwich cookies are neatly stacked inside — one bite gives you the crisp outer cookie against the chewy inner cream for pure sweetness at its best! The sand cookies aren't overly sweet and stay soft, offering a dessert experience that's different from your typical bakery item.

Pairing Gangnam Sand with the black sesame cream latte
The cream latte grabs your attention with its looks alone — a thick, chewy, nutty cream (black sesame and grain flavor) piled generously on top of the cup. Lifting the whole cup and drinking without a straw, the nutty sweet cream hits first, followed by the bittersweet, deep espresso latte flavor mixing in — a perfect balance in the mouth.
On this visit, I ordered Bakerist Brown's pride and joy, the Gangnam Sand 8-flavor set, together with the signature black sesame cream latte.

Take a crisp, soft bite of the Gangnam Sand, then a chewy, nutty sip of the cream latte — the stress just melts away with pure happiness. The dessert quality was so high I immediately understood why this place has become so word-of-mouth famous!
