I went to Daet Gangnam Main Branch (댓 강남본점) for a lash lift near Gangnam Station. Whenever I needed my lashes done, I used to buy a kit and do a self-perm right before an important appointment or a trip — but doing it yourself takes forever and honestly it's such a hassle, haha. My last self-perm was before a Cebu trip last October, and I just left my lashes alone after that. Now that enough time has passed since my last lift, I decided to use a day off to finally get lash extensions near Gangnam Station!

Daet Gangnam Main Branch has about 4 parking spots beside the building, but it's first-come, first-served, so there's a good chance you won't find a spot 🥲 I had other things to do in Seoul that day, so I took the subway. There's also public parking nearby at Yeoksam 1-dong Culture Center, but honestly I'd recommend public transit 🚌

How to book Daet Gangnam Main Branch, and what lash treatments cost

Search 'Daet Gangnam Main Branch' on Naver, then choose your designer, date, time, and treatment menu to book. A ₩20,000 deposit is required, and you just pay the remaining balance in store after the treatment. I booked with head designer Lumi! No same-day cancellations are allowed, and if you're a no-show for more than 15 minutes, the deposit isn't refunded.

Walking to Daet Gangnam Main Branch from Gangnam Station Exit 4

If you're coming by subway, get off at Gangnam Station and take Exit 4.

Walk straight for about 86m, and when you see Hyecheon Building, turn into the alley on your left!

Keep walking down the alley, and when you spot a flower shop on the first floor, you've arrived!

Inside the 4th-floor salon at Daet Gangnam Main Branch

The entire 4th floor is Daet Gangnam Main Branch, so the entrance is right there the moment the elevator doors open. There's a diffuser set up at the entrance, so a lovely scent greeted me right away. You change into indoor slippers from the shoe cabinet, ring the bell, and wait — someone opens the door for you from inside!

Since Daet Gangnam Main Branch takes up a whole floor, the interior really is spacious. From the waiting chairs onward, everything is done in a clean white tone, and a big window on one wall makes it feel even brighter. There's also a pantry off to one side.

The waiting area tables are neatly arranged, and there are snacks laid out for you to enjoy while you wait.

The curl designer Lumi recommended for my eye shape

After filling out a consent form in the consultation room, they brought me a welcome drink — I had peach kombucha 🍑 Designer Lumi looked at my eye shape and double eyelid line during the consultation and recommended a lash lift suited to my eyes — she suggested a curl lifted up sharply for me!

After the consultation, I went straight in for the treatment. Before entering the treatment room, there were lockers to store my belongings! Inside the treatment room there are 3 beds, so it'd be great to come with a friend and get treated at the same time. Lying down, the bed was soft and cozy, so the whole treatment was comfortable and stress-free 😴😴

The booking page said that if you're wearing eye makeup, you should arrive 10 minutes early and remove it with the eye remover provided in store. But since I was getting a lift, not extensions, they said they'd remove my makeup with lash shampoo instead!

Even though I only booked the basic lift, can you see how much my previously drooping lashes lifted up after the treatment?? Designer Lumi kept checking in — asking if my eyes felt irritated, if anything was uncomfortable during the treatment, and carefully checking both eyes for any spots where the curl didn't come out right. Thanks to her, I left really satisfied!
