Anyang gym with private shower partitions: Excel Fitness Pyeongchon

With the hot weather making it difficult to exercise outdoors, I started working out at a gym again after a long time. This time, I visited Excel Fitness PT Pyeongchon Branch near Pyeongchon Station in Anyang.

How long does it take from Pyeongchon Station, and is parking available?

It was about a 10-minute walk from Pyeongchon Station on Subway Line 4. The gym is on B1 of Daemyung Global Biz Square, so I could park in the underground lot and head straight in. Parking extended to B3, and at the time of my visit, up to three hours of free parking was being offered.

How do locker storage and workout clothes work?

There were shelves by the entrance for large bags and belongings. I thought they would also be useful for leaving a coat briefly in winter. Personal lockers were available for a monthly fee.

Towels and workout clothes were also available near the entrance. Used workout clothes and towels were placed in a laundry bin.

What stretching and cardio equipment is available?

There was a separate stretching area where I could warm up before exercising. When I visited, male and female members were using it together.

Across from the stretching area were four Stairway to Heaven machines, along with stationary bikes and treadmills. With several machines available, there seemed to be plenty of options.

The stretching area also had small equipment such as foam rollers and stretching bands.

What were the weight machines and PT area like?

There was a consultation area near the entrance, and farther inside, various weight machines were arranged throughout the space. Since I did not know how to use many of them, I worked out mainly on the machines I already knew. I felt I would need to learn how to use the other machines from a trainer.

The red weight machines also caught my eye. Each machine had brief instructions, but I thought it would be best to ask a trainer for detailed guidance. During my visit, I also saw trainers and members receiving PT.

What were the showers like after a workout?

The shower area I looked at after working out was the space I liked most. There were personal lockers and daily lockers for belongings, as well as hair dryers and vanities.

I liked that each shower space had a partition, allowing for separate personal space. The range of workout machines was impressive, but I also appreciated having facilities to wash up and dry my hair afterward.

What PT package and discounts were listed at the time of visit?

A renewal event was being promoted at the time of my visit. It also stated that overseas exercise equipment worth ₩600 million had been installed.

A package combining 10 PT sessions and three months of gym access was listed at ₩499,000. There was also information about discounted corporate group memberships.

The referral event offered one additional month each to an existing member and a new member. The prices and event details were those listed at the time of my visit.
