A while back, while out on a drive around Geoje Island with my family, I stopped by a grilled fish restaurant in Geoje that I'd really wanted to try.

I'd searched hard for a proper Korean meal while traveling, and this place turned out to be more satisfying than I expected, so I want to confidently introduce it to you all.

What's the atmosphere inside like?

📍 A clean, pleasant interior

The moment I stepped inside, my first impression was how pleasant and hygienic it felt.

The overall wood-toned interior paired nicely with the neat stainless steel and brassware table settings, making it a great spot to bring parents or kids.

Every table had a tablet ordering device (T-order), so I could take my time browsing the menu and order easily.

A sign on the wall read "We only use 100% domestic blue crab," which gave me even more confidence in the ingredients.

How was the grilled fish set and hot pot rice?

🐟 Clean-tasting, nicely browned grilled fish and hot pot rice

We ordered the restaurant's signature grilled fish set meal.

The ordered grilled fish set meal laid out

Soon after, a table was laid out with freshly cooked, steaming hot pot rice and a beautifully browned grilled fish — the look of it alone made my mouth water.

The fish's skin was crispy while the inside was moist and well-cooked with no fishy taste at all, and the flesh was thick and satisfying to chew.

A light squeeze of fresh lemon brought out even more flavor.

Placing a piece of golden fish over the savory hot pot rice was an unbeatable combination — honestly the best fish dish I had during my whole Geoje trip.

What's on the self-serve banchan bar?

🥗 Plenty to enjoy at the self-serve banchan bar

Another major plus of this place is the generously stocked homemade banchan (side dish) corner.

Beyond the basic side dishes, the self-serve bar had a variety of items that both kids and adults would love — pancakes, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), rolled egg, fritters, and more.

You could tell care went into each individual banchan, and you could freely help yourself to more of anything running low, which really showed the owner's generosity.

The side dishes felt especially made with kids' healthy eating habits in mind, so I'd particularly recommend this tidy grilled fish restaurant in Geoje to families.

💡 Handy tips before your visit and the dessert service

There are a few things worth knowing before you eat here.

One menu item per person is the basic rule, and the set meals are kept separate from the all-you-can-eat menus, so it's a good idea to check the tablet's guidance carefully when ordering.

There's also an ongoing event where writing a Naver receipt review gets you a free wild prawn ganjang jang (soy-marinated prawns) — definitely worth taking part in.

After finishing your meal, request the dessert "ppeong-seukeurim" via the tablet for a cool, sweet finish.
