Buk, Daegu shabu-shabu buffet with Vietnamese rolls: Shabu20

My family and I visited Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch for the first time. It was an all-you-can-eat restaurant where we could have not only shabu-shabu meat and vegetables, but also Vietnamese rice roll ingredients and a range of self-bar dishes. Since my family likes Vietnamese rice rolls, we took plenty of meat and vegetables for our meal.

Where is Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch, and is parking convenient?

The address is 79 Gonghang-ro, 1st floor, Buk-gu, Daegu, in front of Gonghang Bridge near Daegu Airport. There was parking in front of the restaurant, so it was convenient to use. Naver reservations were also available.

According to the original post, the restaurant was open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with last orders at 8:50 PM.

How do broth choices and lunch and dinner time limits work?

There were five broths to choose from, and we could select two at the same time.

Lunch and dinner have different prices, and their time limits are set at 80 minutes for lunch and 100 minutes for dinner. Preschool and elementary-school children can dine at lower prices.

Were the seats comfortable for dining with children?

The restaurant was spacious and had many tables. The tables were fairly well spaced, so my family could dine comfortably. There were also many high chairs.

What food is available at the self-bar besides shabu-shabu?

The food was gathered in the center of the restaurant, and we served ourselves with whatever we wanted.

There were many shabu-shabu sauces, which made it fun to mix them to my taste. Tteok (rice cakes) and rice paper for Vietnamese rolls were also available.

There were two kinds of pasta.

There were also tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and boneless fried chicken that children like.

The boneless fried chicken came in two flavors: soy sauce and spicy seasoned. We brought some tteokbokki and chicken to our table and enjoyed them during the meal.

The vegetables were fresh, and the ingredients for Vietnamese rice rolls were neatly prepared. My family likes eating shabu-shabu in Vietnamese rice rolls, so we took a generous amount of what we wanted to eat.

Are drinks and draft beer available too?

Soft drinks and coffee were available.

At the time of my visit, draft beer was also included in the all-you-can-eat price. I liked being able to have beer with the meal.

There was ice cream too. I thought it would be nice to make an affogato with coffee.

How were the meat and Vietnamese rice rolls?

I started eating shabu-shabu after adding plenty of vegetables to the broth.

The meat was more satisfying than I expected from an all-you-can-eat restaurant. It was tasty, so I went back for more several times.

For me, the tastiest way to eat was wrapping the meat and vegetables in Vietnamese rice paper. It also meant I naturally ate a lot of vegetables.

I also had a cold draft beer. With shabu-shabu and the self-bar dishes together, it was a filling meal.

At the end, we made juk (rice porridge) with the prepared ingredients. We could eat everything from Vietnamese rice rolls to juk in one place, and the parking and seating were convenient, so I was satisfied with it as a family meal.
