It's suddenly sweltering August, haha. These days I really feel the need for an indoor date course where we can spend time comfortably even on rainy or hot days! So I went looking for the biggest, most pleasant multi-purpose culture space in Jamsil — and this is my visit report for One Play Jamsil Branch, the ultimate Jamsil hangout. I got to fully enjoy thousands of manga volumes, board games, console games, OTT viewing, and even restaurant-level signature finger food.

Where is One Play Jamsil Branch, and what are the 2nd and 3rd floors like?

One Play Jamsil Branch sits between Sports Complex Station and Jamsil-saenae Station, and uses both the 2nd and 3rd floors together. The 2nd floor is rooms for private play, while the 3rd floor is the order counter plus an open-style manga café.

Thanks to a distinctive interior that reinterprets silk, butterflies, and natural motifs in a modern way, you get a cozy atmosphere that stands apart from your typical manga café or board game café the moment you walk in.

There was also a really wide variety of desserts and food. You could order easily from your phone! They had cake, chicken, hot dogs, fries, and more.

Manga, board games and console games on the 3rd floor

And living up to its title as one of the biggest multi-purpose culture spaces in Jamsil, there's a really diverse range of things to enjoy. Thousands of popular manga volumes and the latest webtoons, plus hundreds of kinds of board games and console games like Nintendo and PlayStation — it's genuinely fun picking whatever suits your taste!

In the private individual rooms you can also comfortably watch OTT services like Netflix or Disney+, so whether it's raining or scorching hot, people of all ages can lose track of time and unwind without worrying about the weather — it's a top Jamsil indoor hangout spot.

Two hours in a 2nd-floor OTT room on the Sonagi plan

This time I picked the Sonagi plan (2 hours + drink) to rest comfortably for two hours. It turned out to be just right for enjoying everything well!

There are individual rooms set up separately, so it feels very private, which I loved. I picked the OTT room, ate some food while watching YouTube, and just relaxed.

Earl Grey drink upgrade and the fries-and-chicken set

For the default included drink I had the cool iced americano, but I added ₩500 to switch to fragrant Earl Grey tea, and even in a space centered on entertainment, the flavor was really clean — I loved it from the very first sip.

To fend off hunger, the fries and crispy chicken set I ordered as a side was truly beyond expectations. Crispy outside, moist inside, freshly fried — perfect for picking at piece by piece while watching YouTube! It wasn't a throwaway snack-when-hungry kind of taste — it was hearty enough to enjoy as a proper meal or as anju (drinking food), on par with a good restaurant, so my satisfaction was really high.
