I've really been craving good meat lately, so I looked up rib restaurants in Yangju and ended up visiting Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch.

I love galbi (grilled ribs) in general, so I went in with high expectations — and it was even better than I imagined. My partner and I already agreed we'd come back next time haha. Bottom line up front: 100% return visit for me 🫶🏻
Where is Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch, and what are the hours and parking?
Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is on the 1st floor of 65 Songnang-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, open daily from 11:00 to 22:00. It's easy to get to by car, which is how we went. It's a solid pick when you're craving galbi in Yangju :)
Since it's open from lunch through dinner, it works well for either a lunch outing or a dinner meal.

There's a parking area right in front of the restaurant. Parking can be a hassle when you drive somewhere, but here there was plenty of space, so we parked easily and walked right in.
What Manpo Galbi looks like inside and out

When we arrived, I noticed the restaurant is quite large. The sign is visible from a distance, so it wasn't hard to find, and we could walk straight in after parking haha. It looked like a good spot for family visits or dining with a larger group.

Inside, the space felt spacious and clean! The tables were also generously spaced, so we could eat comfortably without feeling squeezed next to the neighboring table.

There were also seats for larger groups, so it looked like a good option for family dinners as well as gatherings or get-togethers in Yangju. I did see families dining there in person.

The restaurant had a phrase on the wall meaning something like "giving generously," which made me expect delicious food made with real care ☺️🤎
The order: 3 servings of marinated Korean pork galbi and doenjang stew

Manpo Galbi offers a range of meat dishes, from handmade Korean pork galbi to fresh raw galbi, beef galbi, and LA galbi. The handmade Korean pork galbi was listed at ₩19,000 per 250g.
- 🥩 Korean pork marinated galbi, 3 servings
- 🥘 Doenjang stew (soybean paste stew)
Yukhoe among the side dishes, plus chilled or spicy naengmyeon

There was a good variety of side dishes to pair with the galbi, and I was pleasantly surprised to see yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare) among them. It was fresh, chewy, and well seasoned — this alone was enough to get my appetite going 🤭🥩

I was even more excited thinking about eating it alongside the galbi 🥰🤎

When you order galbi here, naengmyeon (cold noodles) comes included! You can choose between water naengmyeon and spicy mixed naengmyeon depending on your taste, which I liked ☺️🤎
How does the charcoal-grilled marinated pork galbi taste?
Once the meat hit the grill, that delicious marinade smell started drifting up and I couldn't wait to eat haha.

They grilled it golden brown without letting the marinade burn 🥰 Just watching it cook to that appetizing color made my mouth water haha.
The galbi sizzled away, cooking to a perfect golden brown — the smell alone was amazing. That was the moment I really wanted to take a bite haha.

Once the galbi was fully cooked and golden, I tried it together with the side dishes. The sweet-and-salty marinated galbi tasted even better paired with the banchan (side dishes) haha 🤎
The two of us kept saying "this is so good" the whole time we were eating haha. We ordered 3 servings, and before we knew it, the plate was completely empty 🤭

While eating meat, I started craving something hot and soupy, so we ordered a doenjang stew too. Savory and slightly spicy, with a spoonful of rice and a bite of marinated galbi together — doenjang stew really is the perfect combo with grilled meat haha. It made the meal feel much more filling than eating just the galbi alone 💕💕
Dessert at Manpo Galbi: iced coffee, bbeongtwigi and ice cream

After we finished eating and went downstairs, dessert was waiting for us — iced coffee, bbeongtwigi, and ice cream ☺️ It was nice to finish the meal on a sweet note with ice cream, plus enjoy a cool glass of iced coffee 🤎
The bbeongtwigi and ice cream combo was, as always, amazing. Crunchy puffed rice topped with sweet ice cream — so good haha 😋
Final verdict: would I go back to Manpo Galbi?
Overall, this visit to Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch was a satisfying meal. Above all, the Korean pork marinated galbi we ordered was genuinely delicious, so I know I'll come back here next time I'm craving galbi haha. We enjoyed it so much that my partner and I agreed on a 100% return visit 🤎
If you're looking for good galbi in Yangju, or a spot for a family meal, a work dinner, or a get-together in Yangju, this place is worth considering. Especially if you love meat like I do, you really should try the Korean pork marinated galbi ☺️ My pick for the day was definitely the Korean pork marinated galbi! 🥩🤎 It was so good that I'm already planning my next visit haha.
