My husband had a weekday off, so we took the baby to Starfield Suwon :) Turns out Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters, the famous café from Haenggung-dong, has a branch there. Here's my review.

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters at Starfield Suwon: a Haenggung-dong café inside the mall

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters is famous enough to be called the representative café of Haenggung-dong in Suwon.

As a mom raising a 5-month-old, Haenggung-dong is somewhere I want to go but rarely can, thanks to parking hassles and no nursing rooms. So I was so happy to see this Haenggung-dong favorite land inside Starfield Suwon.

If you're a parenting mom who wants a taste of the Haenggung-dong outing feel, I recommend Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch.

Where is it? Starfield Suwon 2nd floor, across from COS

It's located on the 2nd floor of Starfield Suwon, and there's a COS store right across from it, so it's easy to find.

There are several restaurants next to Jeong Jiyeong Coffee, almost like a food court, so it's a nice stop after a meal too.

You can park the stroller by the fence at the back of the café — that's totally fine!

Inside the café and how easy seats are on a weekday

Seating inside isn't super plentiful, but there's some jazzy music playing and everyone's quietly sipping coffee, so it was a good spot to catch a breath. On weekdays there were seats scattered around, so it wasn't hard to find a spot.

The café's merch was also cute, so it was fun to browse :)

Since it's a signature Suwon café, they even had a frog as merch?? Haha, so random.

There's a self bar at one end of the seating area with water, towels, and straws.

Menu and the free decaf upgrade for pregnant guests

At Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch you can choose your coffee beans, and there are various other drinks on the menu too.

The thing that stood out most on the menu was the free decaf upgrade for pregnant customers!! I was pregnant myself until just 5 months ago, but somehow I never noticed it back then — today it jumped right out at me... haha. Anyway, that pregnancy perk is so sweet...🫶

If only I'd known when I was pregnant, I would have come here all the time... a little disappointing.

Anyway, when you're pregnant and going to a café, whether decaf beans are available matters a lot — and here they just switch you to decaf for free if you're pregnant, which is so great! Nice.

The nutty americano the writer ordered instead of the coconut drink

Anyway, I actually came wanting the coconut drink that's sold over 1.11 million cups.

My 5-month-old, who's just starting to get shy around strangers, suddenly burst into tears in the elevator when people kept saying "the baby's so pretty~" and staring at her. I was so drained I just ended up ordering an americano instead... a bit of a letdown.

But honestly, Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters is famous for its coffee — the americano beans are the real deal. The coffee itself tastes rich, and it's nuttier than it is sour! I personally prefer a nutty coffee over a sour one, so this hit my sweet spot. About 5 months into life as a parenting mom, I need coffee even more desperately than I ever did at work.

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters in Starfield Suwon has great coffee, no need to even say it, plenty of parking, and a solid nursing room — it seems like a great place for parenting moms to drop by.
