Sinheung Station Korean BBQ team lunch, ttukduruchigi: Musoettuk
In short
Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch (무쇠뚝삼겹 신흥역점) is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinheung Station in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam, where staff cook all the pork in a grilling zone before serving it. The writer, whose office is nearby, often brings colleagues to Musoettuk Samgyeop for team lunches and ordered the Musoettuk set, the lunch-only ttukduruchigi (spicy stir-fried pork, 12,000 won) and kimchi-mari guksu (noodles in cold kimchi broth); the ventilation kept any meat smell off their clothes. For Sinheung Station office workers who want Korean BBQ without grilling it themselves, Musoettuk Samgyeop is a recommended team lunch spot.

The place where all the meat comes out already grilled

Why is Musoettuk at Sinheung Station a go-to for team meals?
Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch (무쇠뚝삼겹 신흥역점) is a pork belly restaurant near Sinheung Station in Seongnam, and the staff grill all the meat in a grilling zone before serving it. I work in Seongnam and the office is close by, so it's a BBQ place I visit a lot. (I've come for group dinners several times and everyone raves about it.)
I haven't had better pork belly than Musoettuk anywhere around here. The meat arrives pre-grilled in perfect condition, so you just order, sit back and munch away without fussing over the grill. That's why I go so often!!!!!

Will your clothes smell of BBQ after a lunch at Musoettuk?
Even though the tables have no exhaust vents, the ventilation here is so good that my clothes didn't pick up any meat smell at all after a lunchtime BBQ. The interior is clean and spacious too.
And the most important part: even without the vents that hang over the tables at most BBQ places, the air circulates well!! Even after eating meat from lunchtime, there's no BBQ smell on my clothes at all, so this is our regular spot for lunch group meals near Sinheung Station ^^

What to order at Musoettuk: the Musoettuk pork set
The recommended menu items at Musoettuk are the Musoettuk set for 2 (pork belly + pork neck, 480g) and the Musoettuk set for 3-4 (pork belly + pork neck, 800g). Each set comes with minari (water dropwort), kimchi and grilled tofu.
The individual cuts are delicious too, of course, but the Musoettuk set has more meat by weight, plus tasty grilled sides like kimchi, minari and tofu, so the whole package is much better!

Lunch-only ttukduruchigi, spicy stir-fried pork (12,000 won)
If you visit Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch at lunchtime, there's a dukdurichigi (spicy stir-fried pork) for ₩12,000 that you can only order at lunch. It uses Sunjin Pork, so the meat quality is good and the seasoning is really tasty..!!
How does Musoettuk's staff grilling system work?

When you order pork belly at Musoettuk, a staff member grills the meat for you at the grilling zone in the middle of the restaurant. They don't just grill it; they carefully adjust the thickness, temperature and even the heat level, so the taste is on another level compared with meat I grill myself.. hehehe

Look at these perfectly finished pork belly and pork neck! They come out neatly and prettily plated, so they look great and are easy to eat.

The side dishes are a variety of sauces you put on the meat to boost the savory flavor, and each one is served clean and tidy, so the food felt neat and well kept throughout the meal.

How do Musoettuk's pork neck and pork belly taste?
The pork neck at Musoettuk isn't dry at all; it's tender and full of juice like a beef steak. Even though I normally only eat pork belly, I always end up ordering the neck when I go. The pork belly is grilled really well too, soft and tender..!

When you order the Musoettuk set, this cast-iron lid comes piled with minari and kimchi, and the kimchi cooked in pork belly fat is really good.

Naengmyeon or kimchi-mari guksu to finish the meal?
Musoettuk has several meal dishes. Last time I tried both the naengmyeon (cold noodles) and the kimchi-mari guksu (cold kimchi broth noodles), and I liked the kimchi-mari guksu more. The noodles are chewy and the broth is cool and packed with savory flavor, so I practically gulped down the soup. ^^
If you're looking for a great spot for pork belly, pork neck and other meat near Sinheung Station in Seongnam, Musoettuk is a place I can confidently tell you to try at least once.
