Hyehwa, Seoul kid-friendly restaurant with rubber-duck omurice: Omil

Today, I went out for pasta in Hyehwa with my child. The super-cute omurice caught my eye, so we headed right over to eat it ~~

Parking and access at Omil Hyehwa Daehangno

Omil does not have its own parking lot, so I used a nearby paid parking lot! It is close to an exit of Hyehwa Station on Line 4, so public transportation would be a good option too ^^

Cute interior and child-friendly amenities

The exterior is cute, but the adorable interior really catches your eye too ~ There are tables for two, so it would be great for a date as well ^^ It is also nice for families ~

The children’s tableware is so cute too! Since we visited with a child, they prepared it for us.

Water and pickles are available at the self-service bar. They also have high chairs, so it is a nice place to visit with a child ^^

Menu and what we ordered

We ordered the Tot Tot Tot Rubber Duck Omurice for ₩16,900, plus the sizzling cheese katsu, bacon cream pasta, crunchy fried corn, orange juice, and cola from the two-person set. The final bill came to ₩71,600.

First, they brought out the orange juice and cola. Even the orange juice glass is cute ^^

The sizzling cheese katsu came out! The presentation is amazing, right? It really is packed full of cheese ~ I think it is fun to eat with your eyes too ^^

Ta-da, it is ready ^^ Now let’s dig in ~ With all that cheese, it is so nutty and rich. And tender too ~

Rich, thick bacon cream pasta

The bacon cream pasta came out too! The bacon is so thick!! It was really delicious ~ The cream pasta was wonderfully thick and delicious too!!

Fried corn that was a little spicy for my child

The crunchy fried corn was a little spicy for my child, haha, so the adults ate it all, haha. It had great savory flavor, haha, and we finished it in no time, haha.

Rubber-duck omurice my child loved

Here comes the Tot Tot Tot Rubber Duck Omurice ~ We came because my child saw this and said they wanted to eat it, haha. You can take the duck that comes with it home! Haha. My child absolutely loved it, haha. It was cute even to an adult. This attention-grabbing omurice is so adorable ^^

All the food is ready! Let’s eat ^^ There was such a generous spread ~~ Let’s quickly dig in ^^

My child immediately picked up a quail egg, haha. It is such an incredibly cute omurice. I think children like it even more because of the cute shape. If you come with a child, I think this is a must-order menu item.

I scooped up a big bite of cheese, and wow, there was so much cheese that it was really nutty and delicious, haha. It was not greasy at all, just wonderfully nutty, haha. The food at Omil Hyehwa is really so pretty. It almost looks too pretty to eat.

The corn is really good dipped in the sauce served alongside it, haha. They went so well together. So we polished it off in no time, haha. It was not spicy at all for adults, but since it was red corn, my child said it was spicy and would not eat it, haha.

I took a bite of the omurice that almost looked too pretty to eat ~ The seasoning was not overpowering, so it was good to eat with a child!!

This was the cream pasta I enjoyed so much! It was really thick and creamy, and the bacon was delicious too ~ The flavor was rich and lovely ~ It was even better because there were plenty of mushrooms and bacon ^^

How much two adults and a child ate, and my overall thoughts

We had such a delicious meal! It was a lot of food for two adults and a child, but we finished it all, haha. We almost burst ~ There are not many places to eat with a child in Daehangno, but I found a pasta place that is great for going with kids ^^ The omurice, pasta, and katsu were pretty to look at and tasted great too!!
