Hanam Italian restaurant with picture windows: Bokkeriu

A Misari date-night restaurant where even the atmosphere tastes wonderful

I visited Bokkeriu (보께리우) because my friends and I wanted a meal somewhere with a nice atmosphere for the first time in a while. There are so many cafés and good restaurants around Misari in Hanam, but if you want to properly enjoy the food while taking in the ambience too, this was quite a good choice. Bokkeriu is an Italian restaurant with a varied menu of pasta, pizza, steak, and more. Looking through reviews, I found that plenty of people come not only for dates, but also for family meals and gatherings.

The first thing I loved about Bokkeriu was the space and its atmosphere. Natural light pours in through the large picture windows, and the lighting is just wonderful. It feels open rather than stuffy, so I naturally found myself looking out the window while eating. It is great for a meal, of course, but it also feels like somewhere I would come when I simply wanted a cup of tea in a beautiful setting.

From friend get-togethers to family meals and company gatherings

I came with friends that day, and looking around, I saw what appeared to be a company group as well as families having meals together. It made me think the space suited more kinds of gatherings than I had expected. I had thought of it only as a date spot, but it would also be lovely for a family meal with parents or a get-together with friends and acquaintances. So I think it would suit not only people looking for a Hanam date restaurant, but also anyone seeking a gathering place with a great atmosphere.

Plating so pretty it felt a shame to eat

And of course, food matters at a restaurant! Each dish arrived with such pretty plating. It looked so photo-worthy that “too pretty to eat” was exactly the right phrase. I also liked that the flavors were not overly intense and felt neat and balanced overall. Rather than immediately grabbing you with bold flavors, it felt like you could slowly enjoy the ingredients and the food itself. With such a relaxed atmosphere, we did not rush through our meal; we savored each dish while talking with friends. Bokkeriu has more than just pasta and pizza, with a selection designed to enjoy alongside wine, so it made me want to come back for dinner next time.

This time, I had a relaxed meal with friends, but next time I would like to visit in a slightly different mood. In particular, I think spending an evening with a glass of wine and steak would feel completely different. Bokkeriu really does have a range of dishes including steak, pasta, and pizza, and it looked excellent for dates, anniversaries, and family gatherings too. It was a place where I could have delicious food in a pretty space, look out at the view, and even finish with a cup of coffee. I would love to return on a day when I want to slowly savor both the food and the atmosphere. If you are looking for an atmospheric Italian restaurant in Misari or a great Misari date spot, I think Bokkeriu is well worth a visit :)
