While looking for somewhere to eat at Yongsan Station, I was craving Japanese ramen, so I visited Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch. It is inside I'Park Mall, directly connected to Yongsan Station, so it was easy to reach—and as a Japanese ramen specialist, it felt like a great place when I wanted a filling meal.
There are so many good places around Yongsan Station, but if you are looking for a Yongsan I'Park Mall restaurant where you can take care of shopping and a meal at once, a place like this is so convenient. It was also in a good spot for a meal when you have plans in Yongridan-gil :)
A ramen specialist directly connected to Yongsan Station
Menya Seoul is near Exit 2 of Yongsan Station, on the seventh floor of I'Park Mall, which is directly connected to the station. Being able to get there straight from the station was convenient even on a bad-weather day.

If you visit by car, two hours of parking support are also available, so it felt less burdensome to plan a meal and shopping together.

Inside, bar-table seating is the main setup. Since this is a space with several restaurant booths in I'Park Mall, you can also eat at the shared tables in the center—just sit wherever you like.

There was also a hand-washing area and water dispenser right beside it, which made things easy before and after eating. When you eat ramen, broth or sauce can get on your hands, so having a wash area nearby was quietly so convenient 👍
How spicy is the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen?
That day, we ordered the dongpo pork chashu ramen set (₩17,900) and a spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen à la carte (₩12,900). For the set, you choose one drink or side dish, so it was really great value 👍👍 There was no reason not to order it!

The ramen comes in mild, spicy, and mala options, so you can choose according to your taste; we picked mild and spicy. You can also choose dishes with double toppings, so the flavor and portion can suit your preferences. We took seats at the bar table first.

The table had rayu chili oil and lemon-kelp vinegar, so you can add sauce to suit your order. It also says which dish each goes well with, which made eating easier.

Finally, our order arrived, and the incredible presentation had me salivating already 🤍

It was great that we could choose mild and spicy flavors. They were both delicious in their own different ways 👍

Both came topped with dongpo pork, tamago egg, bean sprouts, seaweed, scallions, and two large slices of jambon, so the toppings were quite substantial.

Because of its name, I expected the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen to be quite hot, but it was less spicy than I thought. It had just the right warming kick, so I think it would suit people who like spice but find very intense heat overwhelming 👍 Honestly, even people with a low spice tolerance could probably choose it. The broth was moderately spicy, punchy, addictive, and never tiring, so I kept going back for more 💗

Maybe that is why the broth was so appealing. Made by simmering 25 ingredients, it was not simply hot: it had umami and depth. After one spoonful, I kept wanting the next one!

The ajitama, a seasoned soft-boiled egg, is aged for 48 hours in a special sauce, and its runny yolk and seasoning went beautifully with the ramen broth. Alternating tender dongpo pork, soft-boiled egg, and crisp bean sprouts gave even one bowl lots of different textures 👍👍👍

The dongpo pork in the ramen is reportedly made from pork belly with the skin on. Its thick yet tender texture paired well with the broth.

Both bowls had wonderfully chewy noodles. With the broth, the stock soaked in just enough while the noodles stayed springy and bouncy, so I kept reaching for my chopsticks 🐥

Personally, I think the seaweed in the broth is also a topping that adds umami 👍 The toppings are generous and delicious, and it is the kind of bowl you cannot help but finish completely.
Dongpo pork chashu ramen with crispy gyoza
The crispy gyoza were truly as their name suggests: crisp on the outside and moist inside—the perfect example of crispy outside, tender inside.

Soy sauce was drizzled over the top, and its savory flavor with a subtly sweet note meant the seasoning was spot-on even eaten on its own.

Alternating ramen broth and gyoza was a great combination too. After a bite of crisp gyoza, a sip of warming broth made my mouth feel refreshed, so I was really glad we ordered the set!
The deep broth of mild dongpo pork chashu ramen
The mild dongpo pork chashu ramen had an appeal distinctly different from the spicy version 👍

Rather than being punchy, it centered on the deep, rich flavor of the stock, so it seemed well suited to anyone wanting a clean-tasting bowl of ramen. Personally, with broth this deep, I thought it would be easy to enjoy even for someone trying Japanese ramen for the first time or visiting with an international friend.

Can you see how chewy those noodles are? They were satisfyingly springy while letting me fully taste the broth, so I enjoyed them so much 👍 There were two large pieces of jambon, and I was surprised by how tender they were too.

Wrapping the jambon around the ramen made it even more delicious. The dongpo pork itself was so tender and pleasantly rich that it was fun to enjoy in different ways.
Overall
- A Japanese ramen specialist with excellent access from Yongsan Station
- A great stop when you want a filling meal while shopping or on a date
- Dongpo pork chashu ramen stands out for its deep broth made from 25 simmered ingredients and dongpo pork made from skin-on pork belly
- Every topping feels carefully considered, including the 48-hour-aged ajitama in the ramen
The spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen was not as hot as expected, but its gentle warming kick made me keep sipping the broth. The mild version has such rich, deep broth that even first-time ramen eaters should be able to enjoy it comfortably 👍 Add crispy gyoza through the great-value set, and it makes for a satisfying meal.

With great access and varied menu options, it was a comfortable Yongsan Station ramen spot for solo meals, dates, or eating with friends.
