Calling all bread lovers...🍞🥐🥖🫓🥯 Lots of you must be out there on bakery pilgrimages across the country, so here's a review of Munhwa Bakery, one I'd recommend as part of a Jongno bakery route :p
Munhwa Bakery only sells bread baked that same day, and any bread that doesn't sell gets donated to people in need — it's a genuinely good-hearted bakery 🥹💓 so I'm recommending it as a Jongno 3-ga spot worth trying! Let's get into the review :)

The second I walked into Munhwa Bakery, the smell of fresh bread nearly knocked me out lol
The store is small inside but the range of breads is really wide
This garlic bread seems to be the most famous thing at Munhwa Bakery
The coffee bread's look is insane too
Rice chestnut loaf, rice cheese loaf, maple cream cheese bread, sweet potato bread, white bean paste bread, walnut bread,
onion bagel,
black sesame bread, milk cream bread, cheese bread, squid ink milk cream bread,
injeolmi (sweet rice cake) bread, peanut bread, mugwort rice cake bread and more — there's a bit of everything for people of all ages. No wonder this place is famous as a Jongno 3-ga bakery haha
They also have breads pre-packaged so you can just grab and go

How did Munhwa Bakery's garlic bread and coffee bread taste on the picnic?
I packed about three breads from Munhwa Bakery for the picnic! But I ended up so full from other food that I only ate the garlic bread and coffee bread for dessert haha, so I'll mainly introduce those two :)
First off, the garlic bread is genuinely delicious;; seriously...😋
Totally moist... sweet... not hard at all, a flavor older folks would love too
The coffee bread came wrapped in plastic, so I transferred it into another container for easier eating at the picnic
The coffee bread was also really soft with a sweet cream filling, perfect as an after-meal dessert with coffee ☕
If you're a bread lover on a bakery pilgrimage, I really recommend Munhwa Bakery as a Jongno 3-ga bakery :)
