The Root-Color Process, From Scalp Protector to Shampoo

Designer Seung-a did my service, and from the beginning she examined my hair condition and existing color very carefully during the consultation. She picked just the right optimal shade to cover the gray hairs thoroughly while blending naturally into the tone of the lower lengths.

Before applying the color, she generously and meticulously applied scalp protector all over my scalp, getting into every corner. My scalp has often been sensitive during color, becoming itchy or hot, but because she applied the protector so thoughtfully, I did not feel even the slightest sting or chill throughout the color process. It was genuinely comfortable.

Then, during the actual coloring process, she applied the product evenly right up close to the roots, without any clumping. Her hands were quick, but she also kindly checked in along the way to see whether I was uncomfortable anywhere, so I felt looked after the entire time. They also prepared a drink and snacks while I waited.

After the color was applied and I waited for the proper time, I moved to the shampoo room. The lighting there was soft and cozy, and the moment I lay down, all my tension melted away. They thoroughly rinsed out any remaining color after the service and added a refreshing scalp massage, so it felt as if all the fatigue I had built up was washed away too.

A One-Tone Color With No Boundary Line

After the shampoo, I looked in the mirror while my wet hair was being dried, and I could already see the bright, tidy tone. Once the blow-dry was finished, my hair had transformed perfectly into a natural, lively color without a single patch or boundary line. It blended so perfectly with the color below that it looked as though it had always been my own hair color.

Because it blended naturally instead of becoming two-tone, even my complexion seemed to look a shade brighter, and I could not help smiling at the mirror.

Root color can easily become patchy or layered if it goes wrong, so a designer’s sense and skill matter more than you might think. I was truly grateful that designer Seung-a understood exactly what I wanted and tailored it so well.
