Seongdong hair salon for layered medium hair: Oreudeubi
In short
Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch is a hair salon in Seongdong, Seoul, offering haircuts and scalp scaling. After four months of a C-curl perm, I refreshed my medium-length hair with light layers, steam care, and a scalp-focused treatment line. Verdict: I recommend pairing a haircut with scalp scaling.

It had been four months since my perm and haircut, and my style was no longer sitting the way it originally did—it just looked messy. So I visited Oreudeubi, a hair salon near Wangsimni, for a cut.
A C-curl medium-length perm, made lighter with layers
First, the before-and-after shots :) Four months after getting a C-curl perm on medium-length hair, it was looking heavy. The light layered cut made it easier to style, and even made my hair look healthier. It would have been a shame to only get a cut, so I got scalp scaling while I was at the salon—perfect! (I recommend this combination.)

Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch: location and parking
Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch is 300 m from Exit 2 of Sindang Station on Lines 2 and 6. Parking is free for two hours; just search for “Centras Shopping Mall Building I parking lot.” I drove there myself. Park by Centras Shopping Mall Building I, then take the elevator to the first floor from the Top Street entrance shown in the photo. I was a little confused about where the mall entrance was at first! It is open daily from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Oreudeubi, the Wangsimni hair salon, is on the first floor. Since it is inside the mall, it is easy to find, and there are cafés and restaurants nearby, which is handy before or after hair care.

Waiting and reservation consultation
The salon felt clean and stylish. The staff guided me kindly, and I filled out a consultation form while I waited for a moment :)

They brought out Oreudeubi’s hair service price list, along with a refreshing juice and snacks.

I had booked in advance with Designer Yeongjun for a haircut and scalp scaling. Most salons use reservations these days, so booking the time you want ahead of time makes everything easy. There are also discount events on Naver, so you can get your hair done for less :)

The cut and scalp care chosen after consultation
First, I spoke with Designer Yeongjun based on my consultation form. He recommended styles that suited both what I wanted and what would suit me. We decided on a light, polished cut for medium-length hair, then finished with scalp scaling to cleanse a scalp tired from the heat wave.

A layered cut that still looks natural when tied up
We started with a careful haircut. He gave me layers, and my hair instantly felt lighter and more alive. He cut the sides a little shorter too, so they would fall naturally and look pretty even when I tied my hair up :)

Scalp scaling with steam and a cooling feel
After the cut, it was time for scalp scaling. In the hot summer, our scalps probably get even more direct heat than our faces, right? But you cannot exactly put sunscreen on your scalp ㅜ At home, shampooing and applying hair products is usually all we do, so scalp care feels even more important. Getting a scalp clinic treatment at a salon once in a while is really nice. They first applied a scalp-specific product with a large cotton swab, and I could already feel the cooling sensation haha. After applying the scaling solution, they used steam to soften dead skin and buildup.

After letting the scalp-scaling solution sit, I moved to the shampoo room. They used a scalp-specific line for the treatment, including a scalp ampoule and treatment to care for both my scalp and the health of my hair. There was even a little head massage in the middle, and together with the products’ cool sensation, it was such a relaxing time.

Drying and styling tips too
For a healthy scalp, they emphasized that the most important thing is to dry it completely and thoroughly. Designer Yeongjun also kindly showed me an easy way to dry and style my hair. When it is time for a haircut, adding scalp scaling makes it even better, so I recommend this course :)

They finished with a natural blow-dry, and my hair felt so much lighter. The menthol in the scalp treatment left my scalp feeling cool, and it felt like all the exhaustion of the week just disappeared haha. I recommend Designer Yeongjun for haircuts and scalp scaling at this Wangsimni hair salon :) Be sure to check out the first-visit event too. There are not many salons around Wangsimni and Sangwangsimni with easy parking, so if you are driving, give Oreudeubi a visit!
