My YouTube algorithm surfaced a video of Austin! I Eat Whatever's Given touring Daejeon's best handmade burger spots! There were 5-6 places, and among them Buggies Tangbang in Daejeon's Tanbang-dong was introduced as Daejeon's original burger spot, so I got curious. The OG burger spot of Daejeon!

Buggies Tangbang has been running for nine years since 2017, and it's a go-to handmade burger spot in Daejeon.

The weather suddenly warmed up recently, but cool enough that it's chilly when the wind blows. Seems like it'd be perfect to eat at the outdoor tables :)

Table kiosks make solo dining easy

Every table has a kiosk so you can order and pay right there.

Great for solo dining too.

Tabasco hot sauce, sriracha, ketchup, and mustard sauce were set out on every table so you could pour on as much as you liked. Look how neatly the sauce bottles were kept👍

I was torn between the Hangover burger and the Avocado burger. Since avocado extra was an option, I added avocado topping to the Hangover.

Sweet potato fries are non-negotiable

I love fries, and when sweet potato fries are on the menu I always go for them! It's surprisingly hard to find places that sell sweet potato fries. The combo of sweet potato fries with vanilla ice cream? Whoever came up with that really knows their stuff!!!

If I'd eaten in the store I probably would've dunked the sweet potato fries deep into vanilla ice cream like in the photo, but since it was takeout I swapped it for ranch sauce. Next time for sure ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I got handed the Buggies shopping bag and it had full American burger joint vibes. The packaging style too~

The Hangover burger + avocado topping

I added avocado to Buggies' signature Hangover burger. The menu board kindly listed exactly which ingredients go into each item.

Look how loaded this is right? Adding the avocado topping was a genius move! Avocado lovers, add it without question🥑 The avocado x burger combo is insane. The avocado's soft and mild flavor was so good.

They double-packaged it so the sauce wouldn't leak — what a thoughtful touch! I was moved.

Sweet potato fries 🍠🍟 oh my, non-negotiable! Regular fries would be good too, but sweet potato fries are on a whole other level.

The ranch sauce that came with it was amazing! Vanilla ice cream would've been even better, but they were nice and crispy.

Six pieces of buffalo wings and celery

Six pieces of buffalo wings with celery and ranch sauce. I wish there was an option to add more celery — I can't believe celery goes this well with buffalo wings. Did I actually like celery this whole time...?

It was the kind of flavor that makes you want a beer, but I held back. Dunking it deep in the ranch sauce makes it taste even better^.^

This was my first time trying Buggies, and now I get why it's famous! Next time I'll have to try the pepperoni fries Austin recommended.
