Dunsan-dong café for pollock roe cheese salt bread: Frank Coffee Bar
In short
Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch is a bakery café in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon, a 5-minute walk from Galleria Department Store. The old-world European interior pairs with pollock roe cheese salt bread, financiers, a decaf iced americano and a warm latte, plus a free espresso Albero from a Naver alert coupon. It's usually just a coffee stop, but the desserts were good enough to pack some to go.

A café I recommend in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon: "Frank Coffee Bar." A Dunsan-dong café where I unwound eating great desserts in a pretty space.

Today I want to recommend a café I love in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon. The interior has this travel-abroad kind of mood that keeps pulling me back...❤️ It's "Frank Coffee Bar Dunsan Branch," a café in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon.

Frank Coffee Bar is a well-known Korean coffee brand, and it's a bakery spot where the coffee is great and every dessert is made in-house, so it's on my list of Dunsan-dong café recommendations.
Location — 5 minutes on foot from Galleria Department Store

The Frank Coffee Bar Dunsan Branch I visited was near Daejeon Galleria Department Store. It's less than a 5-minute walk, so it's convenient to stop by after shopping at Galleria.
An old European-mood café

That old-world European feel hits you right from the entrance...❤️ I personally love this kind of mood — it's exactly my taste, warm and inviting.

Walking in, the interior was so pretty I was just happy. I went around 2pm on a weekday, and being such a popular café, there were still plenty of people working on laptops solo and enjoying the space.
So every time I come here, I dress up a little and always make sure to take photos.
What are the seats like inside?

The inside was just as spacious as it looked from outside. And best of all, the interior had that same aesthetic charm! There were 4-tops and 2-tops of various kinds, and the seats toward the back looked great for coming alone for solo coffee time.
A dessert café with lots of salt bread and baked goods

And honestly, with an interior this pretty... this place is also a dessert spot with great salt bread and baked goods! It's not all displayed, but they had tons of salt bread varieties to pick from, and looking further in, it seemed like they make all the salt bread and baked goods themselves.

There's more on how it tasted below, but it was so good I packed some to take home as a gift for my boyfriend...❤️ Honestly, cafés with this much atmosphere often have mediocre desserts, but the desserts here were great too...!!! Nothing was lacking here.

I carefully picked desserts onto my tray and went to order coffee!
Menu — lots of espresso options

The coffee menu ranged from lattes to signature coffees — a really wide selection. They also had matcha and other drinks, so it looked fine to bring a kid along too. I especially enjoy espresso, and this place specializes in a wide range of espresso options!
One espresso Albero with the Naver coupon
One of the best parts: just turning on Naver alerts got me a free espresso Albero! You can use it once you spend over ₩9,000 — definitely grab that coupon and get a cup!

My order came out quickly! I got a decaf iced americano and a warm latte for myself, plus the free espresso, and I ordered a financier and pollock roe cheese salt bread.
The complimentary espresso Albero
I tried the free espresso first, and the aroma was amazing!!! The bitter coffee scent blended so well with cocoa powder that just smelling it felt relaxing, even before I drank it.

The warm latte was rich with milk aroma too, and the iced americano being decaf meant I could enjoy it without worrying about caffeine.
The pollock roe cheese salt bread was so good!

On top of everything, since this place is known for coffee, I always just drank coffee here — but trying the desserts this time made me fall in love. Because the salt bread is all made in-house, it's crispy outside and moist inside, and just really delicious.
I ordered the pollock roe cheese salt bread, and it was the best pollock roe cheese bread I've ever had...
You can even pre-order for pickup!

You can pre-order through Naver! If you reserve ahead, they package the salt bread nicely, which looks great for gifting too. Good to order in advance for a housewarming visit or a simple gift occasion.
The packaging is pretty and the bread is delicious, so honestly, you can't go wrong.
