Daejeon Italian restaurant lunch with lobster croquettes: THE MUA

This is the exterior of THE MUA, a great Italian restaurant in Tanbang-dong. Its clean, dark-toned exterior looked so upscale haha. There is no separate parking lot, but I was able to park comfortably along the white line in front of the restaurant without any problem 👏🏻

A cozy interior for dates and gatherings

The atmosphere inside was so cozy and nice!! It was perfect for a date—I even told my wife it would be a great place to set up a blind date with her haha. Everything was neat, and you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into the interior. (+ The restroom was also extremely clean and well maintained!) 🙂

There are also private room tables, so you can have a meal in privacy! I thought they would be especially nice for blind dates, gatherings, or wedding-invitation get-togethers 😊

THE MUA is an even better Tanbang-dong restaurant to visit with a baby, since it has baby chairs too 👍

Corkage and wine

Good news for anyone who loves wine or wants to bring a drink of their choice: corkage is available at THE MUA! And it is corkage-free every Thursday, so keep that in mind! 👏🏻

Along with corkage, they sell wine too! They offer it by the glass as well as by the bottle, so it would be lovely for setting the mood on an anniversary. We drove there, and my wife is pregnant, so we passed 🤣

Here is the menu at THE MUA, a great Italian restaurant for lunch in Tanbang-dong! There were lots of delicious-looking options, but we ordered the lobster croquettes, 2 pieces (₩9,900), quattro mushroom gnocchi (₩16,900), fresh-pasta Korean beef lasagna (₩16,900), plus a green grape ade from the review event ✌️

You can order from the menu by QR code as well, so keep that in mind! We ordered directly with a staff member, but I think it depends on the situation 🙂

They served pickles as the basic side 😊

THE MUA's signature lobster croquettes

At last, the lobster croquettes, 2 pieces! This is THE MUA's signature dish, made with lobster, shrimp, hanryeonghwa leaves, beets, and tartar sauce, they said!! I think it looks so pretty 😀

They were generously filled with lobster too! I kept exclaiming over them the whole time 👍

Fresh-pasta Korean beef lasagna and quattro mushroom gnocchi

Next came the fresh-pasta Korean beef lasagna!! It is made with Korean beef, fresh pasta, tomato sauce, mozzarella, Grana Padano, red wine, béchamel, and basil oil. Fresh-pasta Korean beef lasagna with ingredients that could not possibly taste bad... 👍 With its delicious-looking presentation too, it was my wife's and my top pick 😍

Last was the quattro mushroom gnocchi! They said it is made with ricotta gnocchi, mushroom duxelles, brown enoki mushrooms, milk, cream, Grana Padano, and garlic oil 👍 The sauce was completely my style... With that creamy flavor, it could not possibly taste bad 🙂

It was incredibly tasty when dipped generously in the cream sauce! 😍

With the review event, you can receive one coffee or ade for free!! We made sure to get our green grape ade too 😀 Overall, our meal at THE MUA had the best food and atmosphere 👍 My intention to return is 999999999999999999999%! I think we will come back for an anniversary, and once our baby is born, since they have baby chairs too 👏🏻
