Daejeon burger restaurant with hash brown and egg: Buggies Tangbang
In short
Buggies Tangbang is a handmade burger restaurant near Tanbang Station in Seo-gu, Daejeon. We ordered two Hangover Sets, with hash browns, eggs, bacon, beef patties, and freshly fried fries. Verdict: a filling burger spot I’d happily revisit.

Getting to Buggies Tangbang near Tanbang Station
I was craving a burger for the first time in a while, so I went to Buggies, a handmade burger spot in Tanbang-dong, Daejeon. There are so many handmade burger places these days, but Buggies has long been one of the places that comes to mind when I think of handmade burgers in Daejeon—and it was seriously delicious even after all this time!

Buggies is about a five-minute walk from Exit 4 of Tanbang Station. If you’re driving, parking is available in front of the restaurant.

A bright interior with large windows and a terrace
When I stepped inside, the place felt clean and inviting overall. It didn’t feel packed or cramped; there was room to breathe, which made it feel comfortable right away. I especially liked the wall of large windows. You can take in the view outside at a glance, so even while sitting indoors, it doesn’t feel stuffy. On a nice day, it would be lovely to sit by the window, eat a burger, and take it slow! Oh, and there are terrace seats outside too, which looked perfect for a nice day haha.

Buggies merchandise was displayed in one area too, so it was fun to have a look around.

There was also an open kitchen on one side, so I could see our order being prepared. Since the kitchen is fairly open, it was nice to naturally watch the burgers being made. Personally, this kind of open-kitchen setup makes a restaurant feel a little cleaner and more trustworthy.

Table kiosks and dining amenities
There are many menu choices, and you can order using the kiosk at each table. They also had newly added salads this time, so anyone wanting something light before the main meal could order one too.

If you need more sauce, you can use the sauce station set up on one side of the restaurant,

and there is a separate hand-washing area, which was convenient to use before and after eating.

The Hangover Set’s hash brown and egg combination
We ordered two Hangover Sets, one of Buggies’ signature menu items.

The Hangover burger comes with a hash brown, egg, bacon, tomato, beef patty, and BBQ sauce, so every bite gives you lots of different flavors.

The fries that came with the set were delicious too. They seemed to have been fried fresh, with a crisp exterior and fluffy interior that went perfectly with the burger. Freshly fried fries really are essential with a burger haha.

First of all, the burger was bigger and heavier than I expected, so it felt very substantial even held in one hand. True to a handmade burger, even the bun felt different from an ordinary burger, and the generous fillings made it fun to eat.

I especially loved the hash brown and egg combination. A lot of places use frozen eggs these days, but this egg seemed like it was cooked to order too! You could tell right away from the soft yolk. The beef patty was tender without any unpleasant smell and went well with all the other ingredients.
Even though it had been a while since my last visit, I had another really delicious meal. Buggies currently has four locations in Daejeon—Eoeun, Tangbang, Daeheung, and Gwanpyeong—so it should be easy to visit whichever is closest. If you’re craving a filling, tasty burger near Tanbang Station, I think it’s well worth a visit. After trying it myself, I could see why it continues to be mentioned as a great restaurant in Daejeon. I’m planning to return the next time I’m craving a burger.
