In short
Daenghaus&Bingsuking is a dog-friendly dessert café near Jungangno Station in Jung-gu, Daegu, that also runs a dog kindergarten, dog hotel, grooming salon and outdoor dog pool. The writer, who is a little scared of dogs, visited Daenghaus&Bingsuking with a friend and no dog and ordered mango cheese bingsu (shaved ice) with added Jolly Pong (a sweet puffed-wheat cereal) and condensed milk. The bowl was big enough for three people, and the mango and Jolly Pong combination stood out. What kind of place is Daenghaus&Bingsuking?
Daenghaus&Bingsuking (댕하우스&빙수킹) is a dog-friendly dessert café 507 m from Exit 1 of Jungangno Station in Daegu. It has been so hot lately that I was craving cold bingsu (Korean shaved ice), so I went with a friend to Daenghaus&Bingsuking, a well-known dog-friendly café in Daegu! From the name it sounds like a place for dogs, but anyone can drop by comfortably even without a dog, haha. I'm a teeny bit scared of dogs, but I'd always been curious, and once I got there I thought, ah, so this is what it's like.
Daenghaus&Bingsuking is open daily 11:00-22:00; the dog kindergarten runs 08:00-20:00 and the café 11:00-22:00. There are separate men's and women's restrooms, plus Wi-Fi, reservations, group seating, delivery, takeout, and pets are welcome.
It's a dog-friendly dessert café in Daegu that also runs a dog kindergarten, hotel and grooming salon! The 1st floor has the pet-friendly café and pool, the 2nd floor is a mat play zone, and the 3rd floor is a rooftop kindergarten.

And this is the café entrance! It's a dog-friendly café, and I hear you get ₩1,000 off drinks when you take out, haha.

The menu is really varied, right?! A dog-friendly café that does bingsu, wow...

Is it okay to go without a dog?
There were guests who brought their dogs and guests who came without one. The moment we walked in, dogs came trotting to the entrance to greet us, and they seemed to be very people-friendly. The atmosphere is really relaxed~~!

What are the seating and space like?
The 1st-floor café is really spacious, with lots of comfy seats like sofas. Sitting with your dog seems fine too, and every seat felt comfortable. The tables are spaced well apart, so it's great for chatting, right?!!!

There's also a dog pool outside. As you'd expect from a dog-friendly café, there seem to be lots of spaces just for dogs!!!

What did we order at Daenghaus&Bingsuking?
You order at Daenghaus&Bingsuking through a kiosk.

It was hot, so after some dithering we settled on the mango cheese bingsu! We added Jolly Pong (a chocolate-flavored puffed cereal) and condensed milk. You can pick other sauces too, but we didn't. Jolly Pong and condensed milk seemed like plenty, hehe.

Is there food, cake and dog treats besides bingsu?
It's a café, but they also sell pasta and other food, and it looked like they sell treats for dogs too!

There are lots of cakes too.. If you bring your dog, you could honestly stay all day. Meals, desserts,, even drinks!

When we sat down, a pup followed us over. Hey you, you're kinda cute? The mirror photo spot was cute too so we took pictures, and there's Wi-Fi, haha.

How big and how good is the mango cheese bingsu?
The mango cheese bingsu at Daenghaus&Bingsuking was too much for two and looked like enough for three people. It came out quickly!! The portion is seriously generous, and the bowl was huge too..
It's topped with plenty of mango and the portion was bigger than I expected, so it was a lot for two. Three people could share it!! One bowl of mango bingsu in the hot summer and the heat just melts away~~!!

How should you eat the Jolly Pong and condensed milk?
I liked that the Jolly Pong and condensed milk we added came separately. We ate it plain first, then mixed in the Jolly Pong and condensed milk, hehe. It's tasty even unmixed, but mixed is even better. Mango and Jolly Pong turned out to be a surprisingly good combination~~!!?

Once the bingsu arrived, the pups slowly started to gather. They came one after another, showed a bit of interest, then wandered off, lol. Their attention span was shorter than I expected.. The dogs seem very people-friendly and affectionate, so if you love dogs, you could lose track of time here!! I spent a good while watching the dogs while eating my bingsu, too, haha.
The mango bingsu is good on its own, but adding Jolly Pong and condensed milk to taste made it even better. The condensed milk seems best added at the end, haha. I hadn't had Jolly Pong in ages, and it was so good I started wanting to pour milk over a bowl of it,,

Mixed with Jolly Pong it's really sweet. Mango bingsu with Jolly Pong, hehehe. I don't think other places gave you Jolly Pong, so this will stay in my memory as a tasty combo!!

Would I recommend it if you're hesitant about dog cafés?
Daenghaus&Bingsuking has a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to stay a long time, and it's worth a visit if you've always wanted to try a dog café but hesitated. The portion was big but we finished it fast, haha. We ate quickly because of our next plans, but I'd like to come back for other menu items! Watching the dogs run around naturally makes you smile.

When we were leaving, the dogs followed us out,,, so cute, aww. But we had to go… This is Daenghaus, a place I should visit whenever I find myself missing the dogs!
