Went to Anjirang Gopchang Alley for gopchang (seasoned beef intestines) after a while, haha. There are so many gopchang restaurants in the alley that you can't help but agonize over where to go, and this time we picked Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch! We ordered the vegetable gopchang set for 3~~

Where to park in Anjirang Gopchang Alley and how to find Gopchang119

Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch is close to the entrance of Anjirang Gopchang Alley, so it was easy to walk in after parking. It had been a while since my last visit to Anjirang Gopchang Alley~~ Having a parking lot nearby made things so much easier, haha. The first lot was full, so we went to the second public parking lot instead!! It was convenient to just park at the public lot and walk over, haha.

Since it's a gopchang alley, there are tons of gopchang restaurants~~!! Among them, we headed to Gopchang119, which is close to the entrance.

A spot known for zero-smell gopchang that's easy to take out! Even the illustration on Gopchang119's sign looks delicious, hahaha.

Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch's signature dish is vegetable gopchang, and they also have plain gopchang and makchang (grilled pork or beef intestines). We ordered the vegetable gopchang set for 3 and added snow cheese. Here's the menu — the signature is vegetable gopchang!! They also have plain gopchang and makchang, haha. What we ordered was the vegetable gopchang set for 3, and you can't skip cheese when eating gopchang, so we added snow cheese too! We sat down, ordered, and didn't have to wait long, haha.

They first bring out the side dishes — simple pickled radish and perilla leaves, plus bean sprout soup (careful, it's a bit spicy).

There's a drink or alcohol perk if you write a review, and takeout orders get ₩2,000 off, hahaha. Let's grab that free cheese fried rice too~~~

The inside of the restaurant is pretty spacious too — great for having a drink!!

How big is the vegetable gopchang set for 3 with snow cheese?

Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch's vegetable gopchang set for 3 came with enough left over even after three of us ate. With the snow cheese added, it looked even more generous, right? Hahahaha, it looked like a huge portion from the start! I wondered if it'd be enough for three, but there was nothing to worry about — the pile just didn't seem to shrink no matter how much we ate~~!!

Instead of just piling on cheese and waiting, they torch it right in front of you, so you get to watch the cheese melt down before your eyes. The smell alone is amazing, and the taste is... honestly hard to put into words!!

Once the cheese melts, it transforms into this — genuinely so good, hahaha. The vegetables and gopchang underneath are well coated in sauce, so it's great with rice, and it also makes a solid drinking snack. I tried the new omija (schisandra berry) flavored drink and it paired really well with it.

I loved how the spicy sauce blended with the distinctive savory flavor of gopchang, haha. The added snow cheese was truly a genius move — with the torch's smoky flavor added, the gopchang really comes alive with that grilled aroma. The cheese plus vegetable gopchang combo is a must.

The cheese stretches out between the pieces of gopchang, adding savoriness, and once it meets the sauce, you just keep reaching for more~~!!

Wrapping it in perilla leaves and pickled radish was such a great combo. The stretchy cheese with a dab of mayo tames the spiciness perfectly — felt like the ultimate drinking snack, haha.

Finishing with fried rice, cooked in the kitchen and brought out

After eating a good amount of the vegetable gopchang, we ordered fried rice too. It feels like something's missing if you eat gopchang without fried rice afterward~~ They fry the rice with the leftover sauce and gopchang, so the sauce soaks in perfectly, haha. When we ordered, the kitchen made it all and brought it out, so there was nothing for us to do — very easy to eat! After finishing everything from the vegetable gopchang to the fried rice, I felt completely, thoroughly full — this place really serves generous portions!!

If you love gopchang, I'd recommend this place for a hearty meal. It's a great spot to visit in Daegu whenever you're craving vegetable gopchang! I think I'll come back here next time I'm in Anjirang Gopchang Alley — already booking my return visit~~
