Here's our review after falling completely for the vegetable gopchang in Anjirang!

Inside Gopchang119: seating and table spacing

We arrived a bit past the usual dinner rush, and some tables had already finished eating. The tables were spaced comfortably apart, so it was nice and easy sitting there with my husband. Also, this place seems to do a lot of delivery and takeout business! While we were sitting there, takeout orders kept coming in nonstop, haha.
Vegetable gopchang set for two with glass noodle and snow cheese add-ons

True to its reputation as an Anjirang vegetable gopchang spot, they had a set menu ready. We ordered the vegetable gopchang 2-person set, added a glass noodle topping, added a snow cheese topping, and got draft beer!! Haha, gopchang without draft beer just wouldn't be right.

The basic table setting came with bean sprout soup, peppers, ssamjang (dipping sauce), vinegared garlic, mayonnaise, perilla leaves, and pickled radish.

There was also a self-serve bar, so we could grab as much extra of any side dish as we wanted.

The owner also showed us the best way to eat it, so we decided to follow along exactly!
How does the torched snow cheese vegetable gopchang taste?

With delivery and takeout orders piling up, we waited about 20 to 30 minutes for our food. And then, finally, the vegetable gopchang arrived!!!

The vegetable gopchang, sizzling away on a hot pan, came piled generously with snow cheese, and to finish it off they even hit it with a torch for a smoky flavor. The cheese generosity here is honestly insane!!!!! The glass noodles were also loaded in just the amount I love, so even as a 2-person portion it was really hearty.

With the spicy-sweet sauce, chewy gopchang, and savory cheese all coming together, I understood why people come all the way to Anjirang for Daegu vegetable gopchang. Our draft beer arrived right on cue too, with just the right carbonation and a creamy texture — so good.

One bite of gopchang, one sip of draft beer — that's the moment a weekend evening gets really happy, haha. Following the owner's recommendation, I dipped the gopchang in the sauce, added mayonnaise, then topped it with vinegared garlic. There wasn't a hint of gaminess in the gopchang we had, and with the spicy-sweet, savory flavor plus the vinegared garlic, I just couldn't stop reaching for more. My husband and I basically inhaled it, haha.
Finishing the meal with snow cheese fried rice
Right as we were nearly done with the vegetable gopchang, we ordered the snow cheese fried rice too. This was basically half rice, half cheese, honestly, haha. The fried rice mixed with gopchang, seaweed, and kimchi, all topped with a generous helping of cheese — even though we were already full, we kept reaching for more.

I genuinely thought, I'm so glad we came to Gopchang119, T_T. Personally, the vegetable gopchang was delicious, but this fried rice is the dish that stuck with me most.
Verdict: is Gopchang119 Anjirang worth it for cheese lovers?

It had been a while since we had Daegu vegetable gopchang, and both my husband and I left absolutely stuffed! Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch is a place I'd especially recommend adding the snow cheese topping if you love cheese. There was also a Naver notification event running when we visited, so be sure to check the details if you go! Finishing with the snow cheese fried rice we had would make for a very satisfying meal, haha. If you want vegetable gopchang in Anjirang, definitely pay this place a visit!
