I was craving something sweet around Hapjeong last time, so here's my review of Petrico!

Petrico is a Hongdae/Hapjeong dessert café at 75 Jandari-ro, 1st floor, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and this time I ordered a fruit soufflé plus a coco lime-ade. There are seriously so many cafés in Hapjeong, but that day I wanted something a bit more special than just coffee.. so I looked around and the soufflé menu caught my eye, so I went for it 🥞

White walls and wood furniture: why Petrico photographs well

Right when I stepped inside Petrico, the clean look of white-tone walls paired with wood-tone furniture caught my eye! The interior overall is minimal without any excess, but the wood tables and chairs keep it from feeling too cold — it has a warm feel..🤎

There are tables good for groups of 2-4, and a big table in the center where several people can sit together! There's also long bench seating along the wall, so it seemed like a great spot to visit with a friend and chat comfortably for a while 💌

Plants, framed art, and soft lighting were scattered throughout, giving the whole space a calm, comfortable atmosphere 🌿 Especially with the bright white tone and wood accents, photos come out clean and neat!

If you're looking for a Hongdae café where you can enjoy dessert and drinks calmly rather than in a busy, noisy atmosphere near Hongdae-Hapjeong, this one fits well! ☕️

How does Petrico's fruit soufflé taste?

First, the main dish I ordered — the fruit soufflé! Fruit sitting on top of a fluffy soufflé made it look sweet and refreshing just from looking at it 🩵 Thanks to the soft, fluffy soufflé visual, I ended up taking multiple photos the moment it landed on the table lol. Having fruit on top especially kept the dessert from feeling too heavy, and I could enjoy a refreshing taste alongside it 🍓🍊

A menu that fits well whether you're looking for a good-vibe dessert in Hongdae, or ordering one pretty dessert to share while chatting with a friend..💛 These days it's not just about taste — being photogenic matters for dessert too!

Fruit soufflé with the coco lime-ade

The drink I ordered alongside was the coco lime-ade! Since the soufflé is a sweet dessert, I paired it with a refreshing drink, and the combo turned out great 🍋‍🟩 The soft coconut feel combined with the lime's tartness made it great to drink alongside the dessert! Eating sweet dessert nonstop can get a bit much, but having the ade refresh my palate in between made the pairing work well ⭐️

Personally, at dessert cafés I like to think about the dessert-drink pairing together, and this time I felt glad I went with fruit soufflé + coco lime-ade 🥞🥤
