Gwangalli Korean BBQ date with a Gwangan Bridge view: Haean Sutbul

It was my day off, so I headed to Gwangalli! I really wanted to see the sea haha. I wanted dinner too, so I tried Haean Sutbul Galbi (해안숯불갈비), a galbi place in Gwangalli, and I was super satisfied!

Haean Sutbul Galbi is at 35 Namcheonbada-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, on the 1st floor, about 380 m from Exit 1 of Geumnyeonsan Station. It's open daily from 17:00 to 01:00 the next day, with last order at 00:00.

Waiting at Haean Sutbul Galbi: should you book ahead?

The restaurant is usually busy, so I'd recommend checking the waitlist on Catch Table before you go. We booked ahead, and luckily there was no wait haha. It's normally crowded, so check the Catch Table waitlist first!

A roomy interior that works for company dinners and group bookings

The inside is spacious, so it's great for family meals and company dinners haha. We came for a date~ 🤩

The menu also has set meals. We ordered the pork galbi set for 2–3 people, which comes with 2 portions of pork galbi and 2 portions of raw galbi!

Unlimited basic side dishes, with japchae refills by kiosk

Even the basic side dishes are unlimited 👍 You can order refills on the kiosk at your table haha.

The japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) was so good that I ended up refilling it twice..~

How was the raw galbi?

Our set came with 2 portions of raw galbi and 2 portions of pork galbi! We grilled the raw galbi first~

They put the pieces on one by one like this haha. Grilling was the job of my companion today.

Dipping the raw galbi in salt was so nutty and delicious... raw galbi lovers will cry. Along with the pork tail from the review event 🩷

After the grill swap: marinated pork galbi and pork tail

Once you finish the raw galbi, just ask them to swap the grill plate. After the swap, they put the meat on one piece at a time haha.

While grilling, they put on the marinated pork galbi too~ I loved eating the japchae together with the marinated pork. I ate both refills all by myself, hehe

First time trying pork tail, and wow, it's so good 🩷🩷🩷🩷

The pork galbi marinade isn't too salty, it's sweet with a deep savory kick, the kind of flavor that keeps your chopsticks going 🤤🤤

We finished everything in no time. This is my favorite BBQ place in Gwangalli, isn't it??? 🤭

There was candy at the counter, so we each had one haha.

Honest review of Haean Sutbul Galbi in Gwangalli

The raw galbi was great for enjoying the pure taste of the meat haha. With the marinated pork galbi, the sweet sauce kept me reaching for more! The japchae was so good too that I refilled it one more time! Not just the main dishes, the sides were satisfying as well 😉

Above all, the location is wonderful, with Gwangalli Beach right in front. You can have a meal and enjoy the sea view too, which made me like it even more. I'd recommend it for family meals, company dinners and dates! If you want good meat near Gwangalli, it's worth a visit 🫶
