In short
Lil' Burger The Hyundai Seoul is an orange food-truck-style burger stand inside the basement 1 food court of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The visit covered a cheeseburger, a jalapeño mayo burger, a classic burger and crispy onion rings at 13,800 won, and the beef patty worked well with the moist bun while the whole-onion rings were especially generous. A burger food truck at The Hyundai Seoul that's great to eat with kids. Lil' Burger — the combination of beef patty and soft bun is amazing, a real Yeouido burger.

Where Lil' Burger is in The Hyundai Seoul, and its hours
Lil' Burger The Hyundai Seoul is in the basement 1 food court at 108 Yeouidaero, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul (서울 영등포구 여의대로 108, 더현대서울 지하 1층). It's open every day, Monday through Sunday, 10:30–20:00. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes, then paid, with no validation.
Hi, this is Rito. 🍔🍔 The long holiday just ended and Tuesday came around, and I really didn't want to go outside — I wished the holiday could've gone on forever. If you were wondering where to take your kid this weekend, a lot of you probably ended up at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, like I did.

On rainy or really hot days, I always end up just playing indoors. The Hyundai Seoul seems to always be crowded, probably because you can shop and also handle lunch and dinner all in one place.
If you come in through the entrance on Line 5 or Line 9, you end up on basement level 2, so you need to go up one floor to reach the food court. I assumed it was on the first basement floor, went down, then had to come back up. Oops.

Once you come up to basement 1, you'll see Hanjeongseon and a croissant shop, and the food court is right behind them — and among all of it, the orange truck catches your eye. It's a real head-turner, and it seemed like a lot of people were stopping by.

Kids love burgers so much, so it's perfect as a snack option too. I visited in the evening, and since this food court also sells Korean, Chinese, Western and Japanese food all at once, it was completely packed.

Ordering at the food court kiosk: how long is the wait?
You order at Lil' Burger The Hyundai Seoul through a kiosk — not one exclusive to Lil' Burger, but the shared kiosk for the whole food court, so you need to click into the Western food section to order. There's even a waiting-number display so you can check how long you'll wait.

Everything is cooked to order here, so it takes around 10 minutes, and staff told me it can take about 15 minutes during peak times. There were so many menu options that I really agonized over what to pick.
Since solo dining is possible too, single orders being an option seemed like a plus for office workers nearby — a simple but filling meal!

What comes in a Lil' Burger combo, and what we ordered
Lil' Burger's menu is set up as combo sets — drinks aren't included, but the sets come with a choice of fries or sweet potato fries. Fries are the base price, but sweet potato fries cost ₩1,000 extra, which had me hesitating — but I'd 100% recommend the sweet potato fries! 🍠🍠
They also sell maple sweet potato fries à la carte, cut into long sticks like candied sweet potato (goguma matang) — I regretted not ordering it separately. Instead, I ordered crispy onion rings alongside: cheeseburger + jalapeño mayo + crispy onion rings + soda.

There's a new menu item, the Cheongyang Crunch Burger, and I decided I'd have to try that one next time. The patty is beef, so anyone who loves handmade burgers should enjoy it without much fuss.

Crispy onion rings at 13,800 won: how big is the portion?
After ordering, a KakaoTalk notification came in. About 15 minutes later, I went to pick up the order, and I was honestly surprised at the sight of the crispy onion rings, haha. At ₩13,800, the portion was seriously generous. 🌶️🌶️
Unlike the onion rings you get at regular chains, these are whole onions fried as-is, so the crunch-and-sweetness combo is no joke. The default cheongyang mayo sauce — a tartar of sorts — is the kicker.

How do the jalapeño mayo burger and classic burger taste?
Lil' Burger's buns aren't dry — they're moist and thick, with good texture and flavor. The top is soft while the bottom stays crisp.

The jalapeño burger has sun-dried tomato plus jalapeño and cheese inside, so you can enjoy it cleanly without any greasiness. The spice level isn't overpowering, so I'd recommend this one if you don't like heavy, greasy food.

I also ordered the classic burger since it's the most basic option, and it had the tomato and romaine lettuce I love, so it looked great and tasted like the familiar flavor I already knew.

The fries come pre-seasoned, so well-flavored you barely need ketchup. Crispy, with a peppery kick that paired well with the burger.

You can see why it ranked 23rd at the Korea Burger Championship — from the bun to the patty to the sides, everything was varied and satisfying at Lil' Burger The Hyundai Seoul.
Hope everyone had a great Tuesday, and here's to a great Wednesday tomorrow!
