Yeouido's The Hyundai Seoul is so famous for good food that it's always a happy dilemma figuring out what to eat! Today I was curious about a burger place that chef Lee Won-il and Hong Seok-cheon raved about on YouTube, so I went to check it out!

Lil' Burger is in the basement 1 food court of The Hyundai Seoul. It's not the first thing you see when you head down — you need to walk toward the area with lots of tables, where you'll spot the food-truck-style stalls. Among them, the orange one is Lil' Burger! Its hours generally run 10am to 8pm, and until 8:30pm on Friday through Sunday, but they say it shifts along with the department store's operating hours.
Is there enough seating in the food court?
Since Lil' Burger sits inside The Hyundai Seoul's basement food court, you can sit anywhere in the area to eat. I visited around 6pm on a weekday and it was quieter than I'd worried, so I found a seat easily. There are also tables directly across from the stand. Closer is better when you're thinking about the pickup walk, haha.

Lil' Burger has a lot of unique menu items you won't find elsewhere. Makes sense... a place that made the jump from Ttukseom Hangang Park all the way to The Hyundai has some serious ambition.

Cheongyang Crunch Burger set: how spicy is it?
The Cheongyang Crunch Burger, newly launched with this menu renewal! Lil' Burger serves it in a paper box that makes even a hot burger easy to hold, and best of all it catches every drip, so it was really easy to eat.
Since it's named after cheongyang chili I expected it to be very spicy, but the creamy flavor was more dominant than I thought! I'm someone who loves thick creamy pasta, so I really enjoyed it. It's salty in a way that makes you think of beer... and the hash brown tucked inside was so crispy.
Jalapeño mayo burger set
This is the jalapeño mayo burger with sun-dried tomato inside. It was spicier than I expected, and since most of what we ordered was fried food, it cut through the greasiness with just the right kick when we started to feel heavy — a great combination.
This was my first time having sun-dried tomato in a burger, and the tomato's sweetness really came through — truly peak sweet-and-spicy. And on top of that, the bun was so soft and fluffy that this is a place where you could enjoy the bun alone.
Potato fries or sweet potato fries — which to choose?
I was curious about both kinds of fries so I ordered one of each! The black pepper cajun fries taste like the potato fries you already know, but pushed further with extra crispiness. I'm firmly on team thin-and-crispy fries and don't usually love the thick-cut kind, but these stayed crispy all the way through despite being thick, so I enjoyed every bite. And the sweet potato fries!! At first I thought, yeah, I'm still team regular fries, but the more I ate the more my hand kept reaching for them. They're a bit like dried sweet potato strips, sweet in that way that feels almost like human chow... By the time we finished and left, I was saying I wanted more sweet potato fries.
Are the crispy onion rings worth 13,800 won?
My partner has been obsessed with Kim Jong-ho's shorts lately, and apparently Kim Jong-ho ate onion rings in one. So he kept singing about how he absolutely had to try these, and that's why we ordered them.
The onion pieces were nice and thick, and the batter was thin and crispy, so the texture was really, really good. And that crunch when you bite through the batter was so satisfying that my partner basically held his own private ASMR session with it. The two of us have been eating like crazy lately, but ordering three items like this at Lil' Burger left us full all the way until bedtime once we got home!! The portions are genuinely generous, so keep that in mind.
