Sin Jjukkumi Duam Branch lets you eat jjukkumi (spicy octopus), fresh pork belly, and thin-sliced pork belly all-you-can-eat for just ₩23,500! After swimming I suddenly wanted a beer, so I looked for a place that could double as a meal and a bar — turns out this was only 5 minutes away?! So off I went~~

Where Sin Jjukkumi Duam Branch is and what it looks like outside

Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch is near the Duam Town intersection, across from a jokbal place I visited before called Kkankkan Jokbal! It's close enough to walk from Gyerim-dong, Gakhwa-dong, and Dongmyeong-dong too. Even from Chungjang-ro it's just a 10-minute drive!

The sign has the Chinese character for 'sin' and 'jjukkumi' written in Korean — that's how you spot Sin Jjukkumi Duam Branch :) Even from a distance the three syllables 'jjukkumi' jump right out! (The sign is really well made, catches the eye.) And thanks to Shin Ramyun, a lot of people already recognize that 'sin' character haha

And with all-you-can-eat places, hygiene is always a bit of a worry, right? But Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch has a 'Safe Restaurant Pledge' certification mark right at the entrance~~ No need to worry about hygiene!

Inside seating and group dinners for up to 60

The inside is spacious, as you'd expect from an all-you-can-eat place. Long tables run in a row, so it'd be great for group dinners too?!

The interior has a brick finish, which gives it a bit of a cozy, homey feel.

Apparently the group section can be booked for up to 60 people! Perfect for office dinners or gatherings, right?! Makes me wish I worked around here ㅠ

There's even a cute bokjori (lucky bamboo strainer) haha, and some props that give off a slightly Mexican vibe too.

Apparently some people park at the anglerfish stew place across the street sometimes lol. Please use the public parking lots!

What the self-serve bar at Sin Jjukkumi stocks

Since Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch is all-you-can-eat, you grab all your ingredients yourself from the self-serve bar. Lettuce, perilla leaves, bean sprouts, garlic, scallion shreds, sauce — there's quite a variety of side dishes, right?

There's also a kimchi section~ Later, frying kimchi into the fried rice is absolutely delicious haha!

And you can take as much fresh or thin-sliced pork belly as you want! I think the best part of all-you-can-eat places is being able to scoop up as much as you like, exactly to your taste, without feeling self-conscious haha

Here's the part that really got me — drinks are unlimited for just ₩10,000! At most restaurants or bars, alcohol is pricey enough that you start doing math before ordering, right? But here there's no calculating needed, it's just a flat ₩10,000! Great news for anyone who loves a drink :)

📍Today's order📍 Sin Jjukkumi all-you-can-eat (jjukkumi + fresh pork belly + thin-sliced pork belly)

Grilling jjukkumi and pork belly, then fried rice in the leftover sauce

Since it's all-you-can-eat, I loaded up on as much pork belly as I wanted and finally started grilling on the hot plate. Thin-sliced pork belly on the right, fresh pork belly on the left!

Felt like something was missing, so in went the vegetables! Piled on as much scallion shreds and onion as I wanted, then cooked them through haha

The thin-sliced pork belly is rolled thin so the sauce soaks all the way through, while the fresh pork belly has a great chewy bite — the two were neck and neck. For side dishes I grabbed corn salad, scallion shreds, and lettuce wraps to eat alongside the meat.

Threw in the jjukkumi and shrimp too! The shrimp were plump and meaty, really satisfying to eat. But more than anything, the jjukkumi was so bouncy and chewy that I understood right away why this place is known for jjukkumi haha

The spicy, punchy sauce soaked right into the jjukkumi, and I couldn't stop reaching for more with my chopsticks. I knew I should stop because of the calories, but it's just that addictive — 'one more bite' turned into finishing two whole plates... haha

The sauce was so good that in the end I fried up rice in the leftover sauce :) Even when you're full, you just can't resist finishing with fried rice, right?!

The bean sprouts and seaweed flakes blended perfectly with the sauce, giving it a nice nutty flavor. Fried rice tastes even better when you cook it on the hot plate until it's crisped up nicely :-)
