It had been a while since we went shopping at the Pusan National University NC Department Store. After looking around at this and that with my wife, we got hungry. We were wondering where to eat near PNU when my wife said she was craving sushi, so we stopped by Moshi Moshi.
Getting to Moshi Moshi PNU Branch from Pusan National University Station
It is within walking distance of Pusan National University Station. It is perfect for heading straight over after shopping at NC Department Store.

Use the parking lot to the right of the restaurant, and bring your receipt for one hour of free parking.
A lively restaurant with plenty of room

It was already bustling with diners when we went in.

There are plenty of tables, and lots of groups come here too, so I recommend making a reservation before you go.

Ordering is easy at the kiosk. The cutlery is neatly sealed, and individual soy sauce is set out in advance too.

This is a local sushi spot that has been in business since 2012. It has held its place as a PNU favorite for over 10 years. There is a reason places last this long—you will know the moment you try it, haha.

They say they do not use Japanese seafood, instead using fresh seasonal ingredients sourced directly from their places of origin. Hearing that they make everything with authentic techniques learned firsthand in Japan gave me an instant sense of trust.
Menu choices from sets to noodle dishes

- Set menus come in portions for one, two, three, or four people, and each set lets you choose “good” or “better.” The sushi toppings differ.
- There are assorted sushi, omakase sushi, sashimi platters, sushi platters, al-bap (fish roe rice) platters, assorted sashimi, salmon sashimi, and chashu.
- There are also noodle dishes such as ramen and memil (buckwheat noodles), plus a variety of sides.
- Join the Naver receipt-review event and you get two pieces of shrimp sushi. Be sure to check and claim it before your visit, haha.
Set 2 with 16 pieces of sushi, chashu, and ramen
We ordered Set 2 with 16 pieces of sushi, chashu, and a noodle dish, choosing ramen for the noodles.

Once we sat down, the basic spread arrived first: salad, yeondu-bu (soft tofu), danmuji (pickled radish), rakkyo (pickled shallots), and soup.
The soft tofu is the real star here.

The sesame dressing was nutty and smooth—honestly, it tasted good enough to sell on its own.

We had already finished all the salad and soft tofu before the sushi came out, haha.

Here came the 16 pieces of sushi. They looked fresh from the start. You could tell at a glance that the ingredients were in a different league.
After trying one piece, I could tell the rice temperature and seasoning were just right.

That difference from techniques learned in Japan—you can taste it in one bite.

The shari (seasoned sushi rice) held together softly and paired beautifully with the freshness of the neta (sushi topping).

My wife went straight for the salmon, while I started with the flounder. As we worked through them one by one, more than half had disappeared before we knew it, haha.

Every type tasted different, so it was fun comparing them. That is the charm of sushi.

The chashu was included in the set.

The gently aged pork was subtly seasoned, making it perfect for changing up the mood in your mouth with a piece or two between sushi.
Finishing the meal with warm ramen
The ramen came out last. It even had one big egg in it.

We chose ramen among the noodle dishes, and it arrived with springy noodles in a rich broth. Such a great ramen spot...!

A bowl of warm broth after sushi—this finishing combination was really good. My wife finished every last drop of the broth too, haha.
