Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch takeout review of Fire Chicken Octopus Poke and Garlic Shrimp Poke 🥗 I've been craving poke so much lately that I finally went to Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch!
I picked up Fire Chicken Octopus Poke and Garlic Shrimp Poke to go from the Seocho Gyodae branch, and the store itself turned out to be way better than I expected, so I want to share that too haha.
Where is Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch?

First off, Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch is a basement-level store! If you're visiting for the first time, it's worth finding the entrance carefully. There are two doors/entrances, so I was a bit confused at first about which one to go in through lol.
But once I got inside, the place turned out to be way bigger than I expected.
What the Olla Poke interior near Gyodae Station is like
I always picture poke shops as pretty small, but Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch had quite a lot of space once I went in. There were several tables set up and the whole place felt comfortable overall. The orange accent interior was pretty, and there were plant decorations along the walls too, which made the atmosphere nice.
There was also a long sofa seating area toward the back, and the tables seemed to be spaced well enough for a relaxed meal.
I went right before break time so there were very few people, but looking at the size of the place, I bet it gets packed during lunch hour haha. It seems like a lot of people from around Gyodae Station or Seocho come here for lunch!
Is there a restroom inside Olla Poke?
One thing I really liked was that the restroom is inside the store! Sometimes you have to step outside to find a bathroom while eating, so having one right there felt really convenient. These small details actually matter a lot haha.

Coffee menu and a self-service ice machine at Olla Poke
While looking around the store, I was surprised again to find they even have a coffee menu! It's nice being able to grab poke and coffee in one stop. Good news for anyone who likes finishing a meal with a cup of coffee.
And the thing that really shocked me — there's a self-service ice machine too! 🧊 You can scoop your own ice, which honestly surprised me lol. I haven't seen many restaurants where you can freely grab ice like that, and Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch really seemed to have these convenience features nailed down. Handy whenever you need ice for a drink.
Phone charging spots and hair ties: the small extras
The store also has a phone charging area, plus hair ties available. Seeing details like that made me feel like they really thought about customers' comfort while eating.

The hair ties especially are so useful for anyone with long hair eating a meal lol. Coming in just for poke and finding all these amenities made the whole place feel really customer-focused.

Ordering at the Olla Poke kiosk

The two poke bowls ordered and the 3:7 salad-to-rice ratio
That day I picked up two poke bowls to go from Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch!
- Fire Chicken Octopus Poke — ordered with a 3 salad : 7 brown rice and oats ratio
- Garlic Shrimp Poke — chose the same 3 salad : 7 brown rice and oats ratio
One thing I like about poke is being able to adjust the rice-to-salad ratio however you want. Since I wanted a decent amount of rice, I went with 7 parts brown rice and oats haha.

I packed both up to eat at home! Time to head home and dig in 😋
How does the Buldak Octopus Poke taste? 🌶️🐙
I tried the Fire Chicken Octopus Poke first! The octopus was chewy and had great texture, and the spicy fire-chicken flavor on top really woke up my appetite haha.
The sauce wasn't overwhelmingly spicy on its own — mixed with the rice, it worked really well together. The brown rice and oats were nutty with a nice bite, which paired well with the octopus.

The salad was fresh and crunchy too, balancing out the spiciness in between bites. If you like spicy poke, you'd really enjoy this one!

How does the Garlic Shrimp Poke taste? 🍤
The Garlic Shrimp Poke felt softer and nuttier compared to the Fire Chicken Octopus Poke! The shrimp was plump and got more flavorful the more you chewed, and the subtle garlic aroma paired really well with the rice haha. If Fire Chicken Octopus Poke is spicy and bold, Garlic Shrimp Poke is more like the easy, no-pressure option.

The combo of brown rice and oats with the salad was great too, and eating it with the shrimp gave it a light yet savory flavor that kept me reaching for more.
Both menus were delicious, but personally I lean toward spicy food, so Fire Chicken Octopus Poke was a bit more my style lol.

Still, Garlic Shrimp Poke was nutty and tasty enough that I'd want to order it again next time!
Is Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch worth it? 🥗
This time I picked up Fire Chicken Octopus Poke and Garlic Shrimp Poke from Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch, and I enjoyed both haha. The Fire Chicken Octopus Poke had chewy octopus plus spicy flavor that really woke up my appetite, and the Garlic Shrimp Poke had plump shrimp with a nutty garlic aroma that made it easy and satisfying to eat.
I ordered mine with a 3 salad : 7 brown rice and oats ratio, which meant I got a hearty amount of rice along with the salad on the side, and I liked that. Poke is great when you want something light, but adjusting the rice ratio like this makes it filling enough to be a full meal!
The store was also bigger and more comfortable than I expected, and the amenities — restroom, coffee menu, self-service ice machine, phone charging area, hair ties — were all a nice touch.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good poke spot near Gyodae Station or trying to figure out lunch in Seocho. I'd love to try other menu items next time 😋 Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch — great food, comfortable store, a satisfying visit overall!
