Pyeongtaek Lake café with weekend brunch and fire pits: Sisup
In short
Sisup is a large weekend-only café in Sinwang-ri, Hyeondeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, looking out over Pyeongtaek Lake. The white-and-wood interior has private rooms and even a small-wedding space, and on the outdoor terrace Sisup serves iced americano, house-made vanilla bean latte and the Sisup brunch plate in a cool breeze. With an artificial stream in summer and bulmeong (sitting by a fire pit) in winter, Sisup is worth a repeat stop on a Pyeongtaek Lake drive.

As the weather's been getting cooler, I was thinking about where to get some fresh air this weekend, and figured a drive around Pyeongtaek Lake plus a café stop would be perfect. So today I'm introducing Sisup, a large café with a view of Pyeongtaek Lake.
Sisup opening hours and parking in Pyeongtaek
Sisup is on the 1st floor at 680 Hyeondeok-ro, Hyeondeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it's only open on weekends. Hours are 10:00–19:00, with last order at 18:30.

There's a private parking lot you can use.
What is Sisup like inside? A large café with Pyeongtaek Lake views
Sisup is located in the Sinwang-ri area, and since it looks out onto Pyeongtaek Lake, it felt more like a drive-and-get-some-air spot than just a place to grab a coffee.

The interior is super clean, and with the white tones mixed with wood tones, the atmosphere was really nice 🤍 There are separate private rooms too, and even a space set up for small weddings, which made it feel extra special. Even the bathrooms were kept spotless, so overall it gave off a really hygienic feeling.

An artificial stream in summer, a fire pit in winter
What you can enjoy outdoors at Sisup changes a bit with the season. In summer you can sit by the artificial stream and dip your feet in, and when it gets cold in winter,

instead of the stream you can do firewatching (bulmeong, sitting by a fire pit). Since the mood changes with the season, this felt like a café to revisit whenever the weather's nice, not just a one-time stop.

Eating the Sisup brunch plate and vanilla bean latte outdoors
What I ordered was an iced americano, house-made vanilla bean latte, and the Sisup brunch.

Eating brunch outside with the cool breeze was so nice 🌿

I even spotted a frog in the woods next door lol. True to the café's name, it really felt like being deep in the forest!

Is Sisup dog-friendly? Outdoor seating rules
Dogs can't come inside Sisup, but they say pets are welcome to join you in the outdoor space.

The space is really spacious, and I liked that there were all kinds of seating options outdoors. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a coffee at your own pace.

Is Sisup worth a Pyeongtaek Lake drive?
On days like these, when it's neither too hot nor too cold, it feels like such a waste to just stay home. On a day like that, driving out to Pyeongtaek Lake, stopping by Sisup for something good to eat and a coffee, feels like a proper refresh without having to travel far.

Zoning out while looking out the window would be nice too. Since you can dip your feet in the stream in summer and do firewatching in winter, it seems great to bring kids or for a quiet date with a partner.
