Anseong outlet-side café for evening vanilla bean latte: Chat Baker

This time I visited Chat Baker, a large café in Anseong. What's interesting about Chat Baker is that outlet stores sit on both sides of it, so you can enjoy café time and shopping all in one trip :)

Bakery & desserts — most bread was sold out by evening

There were so many kinds of desserts, like cakes and cookies, that it was hard to choose, and a good variety of bread was also set out. But since we came late in the evening, most of the bread was already sold out, which was a bit disappointing.

After getting your coffee, you grab your own knife, fork, and wet wipes, and sugar and syrup are all in one spot too, which made things convenient :)

Inside the café — water-curtain windows and seating across two floors

The interior design was really nice. There's a spot where water flows down the window, which was fascinating, and great for just sitting and zoning out ╰(⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝)╯

The place is quite spacious with plenty of seating. It's split across the first and second floors, and instead of tables packed tightly together, the space is divided into several sections, so it was comfortable for quietly relaxing over coffee, and roomy enough for a group to chat together too. It felt easy to visit for group gatherings, family outings, or dates alike.

Chat Baker also has a space built around LPs, giving it a different vibe from your typical large café. If you like music or LPs, be sure to stop by when looking for an LP café in Anseong!

→ If you're planning to visit, it might be nice to time it with one of the performances! It seemed like a great spot to spend time listening to music at the café.

How were the vanilla bean latte, fresh chocolate café mocha, and crumble cake?

We ordered the vanilla bean latte, fresh chocolate café mocha, and crumble cake. The recommended vanilla bean latte was personally my favorite of everything we ordered. The fresh chocolate café mocha was decent, and the crumble cake was a bit disappointing for me — it was drier than I'd expected 😂

Close to Pyeongtaek too, and next time I'll come back in the daytime

It's fairly close to Starfield Anseong and Anseong Farm Land, so it's a good stop if you're already out in the area, and it's also close to Pyeongtaek, so if you're looking for a large café between Pyeongtaek and Anseong, it's an easy distance to visit.

From the spacious indoor area to the bakery, desserts, and outdoor terrace, there was a lot to enjoy, and overall we were satisfied and would visit again 🤍 Next time, I'd like to come back during the daytime when there'll be a fuller variety of bread, so I can really check it out properly ◡̈

The large parking lot also made it convenient to visit by car, and since the café is quite big, it was a nice place to spend time at a relaxed pace. Having outlet stores right on both sides was also a unique touch, making it a good spot when you want to combine shopping with a café visit :)
