Monday dinner mutton vindaloo spice level, Manokamana Songdo
In short
Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is an Indian and Nepali restaurant in the basement of Triple Street's Building C in Songdo, Incheon. Instead of the usual butter curry, this visit's order was chicken tikka, mutton vindaloo and butter naan for ₩32,500 total, and the vindaloo got noticeably spicier with every bite. A good pick if you like spicy curry or want to try something different from the usual meat menu.

Sometimes I crave something more exotic than the usual Korean or Western food. This time I was in the mood for Songdo Indian curry, so I headed to Manokamana in Triple Street.

Whenever I come here, I usually order the butter curry. It's fairly mild and not too spicy, so it's a good choice for people trying Indian curry for the first time.
This time, though, I wanted something a bit different, so I went bolder than usual and ordered mostly meat dishes.

Busy even on a Monday evening
I visited on a Monday evening, and I was surprised at how many customers there were, haha.
One of Manokamana's biggest advantages is the location. Since it's inside Triple Street, you don't need to make a separate trip just to eat — it's easy to stop by in the middle of shopping or a date. The restaurant itself also has such an exotic vibe that it's a good pick when you want something a little different from an ordinary meal.

If you search for Triple Street restaurants, all kinds of places come up, but if you like Indian and Nepali food, Manokamana really stands out. It's also a solid option if you're looking for Songdo Indian curry.

Since it's in the basement of Triple Street Building C, it's easy to combine with shopping or a movie plus a meal. It's convenient to stop by for a meal while shopping in Triple Street, and easy to move on to a café or other stores afterward — a good location if you're looking for Triple Street restaurants.

If you're visiting by car, being able to use the Triple Street parking lot is also convenient, haha.

What's the atmosphere like?
Walking in, the atmosphere is clearly different from a typical restaurant. Indian-style decor and props are everywhere, giving the whole meal a pretty exotic feel. The staff are also from India, which adds to the authentic feel — not just the food, but the whole space.
So it's not just a place to eat curry — I thought it would be a good spot to visit with friends while exploring Songdo restaurants, or for a date when you want something a bit different, haha.

You order using that QR code. This is what I ordered, haha.
On top of that, Manokamana says its dishes are made by Indian and Nepali chefs with over 10 years of experience. Whoa. Apparently they pay close attention to spice blends and cooking methods based on their local experience, and when you actually eat the food, it definitely has a different aroma and flavor from what we usually think of as curry.

What I ordered this time
This time I ordered differently from usual.
- ✔ Chicken Tikka ₩13,000
- ✔ Mutton Vindaloo ₩14,000
- ✔ Zero Coke ₩2,500
- ✔ Butter Naan ₩3,000
- Total ₩32,500

Chicken Tikka
First, the Chicken Tikka! It's chicken marinated in traditional Indian spices and yogurt, then grilled in a tandoor. The chunky boneless pieces come out slightly charred on the outside and juicy on the inside.

There's a subtle hint of spice, but since it's not sauce-heavy like a curry, it really felt like eating the meat itself.
If you like Indian curry but don't want to eat runny curry the whole meal, ordering chicken tikka alongside it is a great idea.
Mutton Vindaloo — genuinely spicy
And now the main event: Mutton Vindaloo. Some of you might wonder what mutton curry is — mutton means lamb/goat meat, so mutton curry is literally curry made with that meat.

Vindaloo in particular is known for its spicy, tangy flavor. Seriously, you need to be careful with this one. It's really spicy.

I'm not someone who's terrible with spicy food, but this was definitely spicy. At first I thought, 'oh, this isn't so bad?' but the heat really kicked in the further I went.
With butter naan
When I eat Indian curry, naan is something I never skip. This time I ordered Butter Naan, and it went really well with the curry. Eating it with the naan toned things down a bit. Still, my stomach was a little on fire afterward, haha. If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend this combo.
Tearing off pieces of the warm naan and scooping up plenty of curry is genuinely delicious, haha.
Which menu should you choose?
If you're new to Indian curry, I'd recommend butter chicken or butter curry with butter naan. If you're up for trying something a bit different like I did, dishes like chicken tikka or mutton vindaloo are worth a try.
