Grilled fish and ganjang gejang set lunch for two in Geoje, Gohyeon

When you're traveling around Geoje, isn't there always that one meal you want to be something oceanic — grilled fish or crab? Today I searched for the best grilled fish restaurant in Geoje hoping to find somewhere that serves both grilled fish and flower crab together, and that's how I ended up at Geojedo Grilled Fish & Ganjang Gejang.

Not having to choose between fish or crab — being able to eat both — was the biggest reason I picked this place! Let me walk you through the location and parking, the menu, and the actual set I ordered.

Location and parking at Geojedo Grilled Fish & Ganjang Gejang

Geojedo Grilled Fish & Ganjang Gejang sits in the Gohyeon reclaimed land area, right next to the Gohyeon branch of Shabu All Day. It's about a 7–8 minute walk from Gohyeon Terminal, so it's convenient for anyone looking for a meal around Gohyeon!

Roadside parking right in front of the restaurant is enforcement-free during lunch hours, so just check the enforcement times before parking there! If you'd rather park somewhere safer, there's a large lot outside the restaurant where you can park comfortably before heading in.

When is it open?

Geojedo Grilled Fish & Ganjang Gejang is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. I visited at lunchtime, and since it's a Korean food menu, it worked really well for lunch. On weekdays it's full of office workers, and on weekends it draws tourists and Geoje locals dining with friends!

Outside and inside atmosphere

The restaurant's name is visible from the outside, so it wasn't hard to find,

and right at the entrance, today's grilled fish menu was posted.

Inside, there were several tables ready to go. Since it was lunchtime, the tables were already pre-set based on expected party sizes!! Overall it had the vibe of a Korean restaurant that's comfortable for family meals or dining with parents.

What you can grab at the self-serve bar

What really caught my eye was the self-serve bar. At the self-serve bar you can take as much extra banchan (side dish) as you need, and you can even fry your own egg.

There were pancake-style dishes and various banchan set out, great for nibbling while waiting for the main dish or as you eat!

Baby dishware and a high chair were also available.

What's on the menu, and how much?

You order straight from a kiosk.

The menu ranges from grilled fish to crab, with plenty of options. The weekday special grilled fish set is ₩14,900, the weekend-only grilled fish set is ₩17,900, the flower crab set is ₩19,900, and flower crab all-you-can-eat is ₩29,900. If you want both grilled fish and flower crab, there's the grilled fish & flower crab set for ₩24,900, and if you want the full course — ganjang gejang, yangnyeom gejang and seasonal grilled fish all as all-you-can-eat — that's ₩34,900. If you want all-you-can-eat, you have to order the all-you-can-eat menu specifically!! There are also à la carte options like a dried yellow corvina set, yangnyeom gejang, charcoal bulgogi, shrimp jang and abalone jang, so you can add on depending on your taste.

Ordering the grilled fish & flower crab set for two

What I ordered with a friend was the grilled fish & flower crab set for ₩24,900, for two people. It's a menu you can only order with two or more people, and I picked it because you get seasonal fish and flower crab together at one table!!

Once the spread was laid out, the table was packed — pan-grilled fish, ganjang gejang, yangnyeom gejang, seaweed soup, and side dishes filled the whole table!

The grilled fish came out golden brown and went well with rice, and the ganjang gejang — with its salty sauce and crab meat piled onto rice — was a really good match!

The yangnyeom gejang was generously coated in sauce, so it was nice to alternate between it and the ganjang gejang.

The set's kicker: charcoal bulgogi

The charcoal bulgogi included in the set was the real kicker!! It was so good that I thought I'd definitely bring my kids next time and let them eat it with the bulgogi!!

Since it's served with hot pot rice, you get to enjoy sungnyung (scorched rice tea) and nurungji (crispy scorched rice) after the meal!

Especially if you're looking for the best grilled fish restaurant in Geoje but don't want to give up on ganjang gejang, I thought this kind of set is pretty practical.
