I've really gotten hooked on bread, cookies, and desserts lately. I eat way too much of this stuff by myself...💦 On this Jeju trip too, I came out specifically to buy dessert.

Cheongchuni Oranda is famous as a Jeju Dongmun Market restaurant, but I wasn't interested at first — I only came because my friend loves oranda (a Korean sweet cracker)!

Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong is at 6-8 Dongmun-ro, 1st floor, Jeju-si, inside Jeju Dongmun Market. It's open daily from 9am to 8pm.

The easy way to get there is through Gate 2 or Gate 9 of Jeju Dongmun Market. But honestly, if you just wander in anywhere and walk around, you'll spot it^_^ Or just follow a map!

Cheongchuni Oranda's lineup is varied — basic oranda, bulk oranda, donut oranda, and yuzu/tangerine gwajul — and you can taste samples too❗️✨👍

I only tried the yuzu oranda, and it was really good?? I honestly wanted to buy one of every kind...

It's great as a snack, but the oranda gift sets in the pretty boxes are also perfect as a Jeju travel souvenir or gift🩷✨ The ingredient origin labeling is printed on the packaging too.

What is gwajul?

These are the yuzu gwajul and tangerine gwajul, and they come in 4 rice varieties — steamed rice, white rice, brown rice, and buckwheat. I wondered what gwajul even was, but apparently it's similar to hangwa (traditional Korean confection).

This is the basic square oranda❗️ It comes in 5 flavors: yuzu, Udo peanut, gamtae (seaweed), mixed nuts, and manong (garlic). I had no idea oranda came in flavors like these — so cool🤩

What I bought: 4 square oranda and 4 donut oranda

I held back from buying everything and got 4 square oranda, plus 2 each of tangerine and green tea donut oranda. Two donuts were for me, two went to my family😊✨

The packaging is so pretty and cute, and the donuts are just gorgeous...😍✨ When I travel, I love finding special food that's only sold in that region. I thought oranda was nothing special, but I had no idea it came in so many varieties and tasted this good...🫢

When you buy, they give you individually wrapped pieces — the basic ones are tasty and the donut oranda is seriously seriously delicious‼️❤️ I never liked oranda before...? Hahaha, but it's genuinely good ✨ Totally recommend as a Jeju Dongmun Market restaurant to try. I was curious about the gwajul too, and I regret not tasting a sample before deciding not to buy it...💦
