I was wandering around Suwon Station and suddenly wanted a croffle (croissant + waffle), so I ended up at Tteum Café by Oneplay Suwon Station.

The space itself was tidy and well-organized overall, so it was comfortable to sit and stay a while. What's interesting about Tteum Café is that the vibe is a bit different from a typical café.

It's not just a café space — it's run together with a furniture store, so there were various pieces of furniture on display throughout. At first I walked in expecting a café and it almost felt like I'd stepped into a furniture showroom instead. Apparently the furniture on display isn't just for looking at — it's actually for sale. So it was fun to browse the furniture while waiting for my drink and dessert.

Tables and chairs were naturally arranged throughout the space, so there was also fun in just looking at the café interior. The whole store was kept very clean, so it felt more tidy and relaxed than cluttered.

I didn't have coffee this time, but if you do drink coffee, you can choose your own beans separately~ There's a nice variety of beans to pick from, so it'd be fun to try different ones!

How does the ice cream croffle taste? Crisp outside, soft inside

Finally, the ice cream croffle arrived. It looked delicious, but what I liked most was the texture. The outside was baked crispy while the inside stayed soft, giving that satisfying crispy-outside, soft-inside bite. A croffle really needs a crispy exterior to be good, and this one had that crispness down well. But it wasn't overbaked to the point of being hard all the way through — the inside stayed moist, which made for a great chew.

Even eaten plain, the croffle had good buttery flavor and sweetness. But adding ice cream changed things up entirely. A croffle that's even better with ice cream — I cut off a piece and dipped it generously into the ice cream, and the combination worked really well. The peach tea I ordered alongside paired nicely with the croffle. Since the croffle itself is a pretty sweet dessert, sipping a drink in between kept my palate feeling clean. Rather than just having dessert alone, ordering a drink with it made for a nicer, slower experience. If you're visiting with a friend, ordering one drink each and sharing a croffle would work well too.

The store overall was clean and tidy. And unlike a typical café, having furniture displayed alongside made browsing the space itself enjoyable.

While sitting and eating dessert, I could slowly browse the furniture placed around me too. Since it's a space that actually sells furniture, if you're shopping around for pieces for your home, it's worth checking out alongside your café visit. Rather than just a café you grab coffee at and leave, being able to browse the space itself felt a bit special.
