When you're traveling around Jeju, hunting down pretty cafés is honestly half the fun. The Aewol area especially has a lot of cafés where you can sip coffee while looking out at the sea, so they're great for a quick break mid-drive. This time I stopped by Aewolbon Café after spotting it along Aewol Haean-ro because I loved the ocean view. ☕️

The moment I arrived at Aewolbon Café, the first thing that caught my eye was the bold red exterior. ❤️ It's a totally different vibe from the white-toned or stone-wall cafés you commonly see in Jeju, so it wasn't hard to spot from a distance.

The front of the building has "BON CAFE / Jeju · Aewol" written in big letters, so the exterior itself felt like a photo zone. I could also see an outdoor terrace leading up to the second floor and seats facing the sea, and I thought—

This place would be amazing to sit outside on a nice day.

What I loved most about Aewolbon Café was, of course, the sea view through the windows. Even sitting indoors, the ocean stretched out wide through the big windows, so it was great to sip coffee while sea-gazing.

From my seat, the sea was right there, so I kept taking photos. 📸 There were a few clouds in the sky that day, but honestly it gave off that calm, distinctive Jeju atmosphere I really liked. Sitting by the window, I could take in both the sea and the Jeju scenery in the distance while resting with a coffee for a bit.

This time I ordered an Americano at ₩6,000, a Jeju matcha latte at ₩7,500, and a chocolate chip scone at ₩5,000.

I basically always order an Americano at cafés, so naturally I went with iced Americano this time too. It was clean and easy to drink, and it paired well with the sweet chocolate chip scone.

But honestly, the best part that day wasn't just the taste — it was drinking coffee while looking out at the sea. When picking a café in Jeju, taste matters, but the view matters too, and this one delivered on both.

And the one I was pretty excited about — the Jeju matcha latte 💚 Doesn't the color look so pretty even in photos? I ordered it iced, and the green matcha with ice looked great for pictures.

The slightly bitter matcha flavor paired with the smoothness of milk went well with the sweet dessert. When I took photos, the dark color of the Americano next to the green of the matcha latte made for a really nice contrast. And with the Jeju sea in the background, even just shooting the cups felt like a proper Jeju travel photo. 💚

Since drinks alone felt like not enough, I ordered a chocolate chip scone too! It looked cute just being plated. The scone had chocolate chips packed throughout, and it paired well with the Americano.

Personally I love ordering one drink and one dessert at a café and taking my time with them, and that's exactly how it went this time. So if you're after Aewol café desserts, I'd recommend ordering something like a scone alongside your coffee rather than just coffee alone.

Among the photos I took, my personal favorite was the window-seat shot at Aewolbon Café. Setting the coffee and dessert on the table with the sea in the background made for a really pretty photo.

In particular, the combo of Americano + matcha latte + scone had such a nice range of colors, great for photos. 📷 The café's red exterior also makes for a strong focal point if you shoot in front of the building. A quick break on an Aewol coastal drive

When you're out sightseeing all day in Jeju, your energy drops faster than you'd expect. I visited Aewolbon Café that day for a bit of a break too, and between sipping coffee by the sea, eating a sweet scone, and snapping a few photos, time flew by faster than I thought.

Especially sitting by the window looking at the sea, I liked that I didn't have to be doing anything in particular.

Instead of "I have to do everything since I'm traveling!", it's more of a "let's just rest here a bit today" kind of place. 🌊
