The weather's getting cooler these days, and so many people are heading to Daehangno for plays or exhibitions, right? I recently spent a weekend enjoying a proper date — great food in a great atmosphere.

From the moment you step in, Omil Hyehwa greets you with red brick walls and sentimental little props that come together for a cozy feel. Thanks to the warm wood-tone interior and cute accent details, every single photo turned into a life shot.

When you're on a date, the taste matters, but the atmosphere and lighting of the space play a huge part too, right? With soft lighting and a quiet, unpressured vibe, this place was really perfect for talking to each other. It's more than fit to be a spot for an anniversary dinner or a blind date.

Right up my alley! Every dish at Omil Hyehwa is made with care. Living up to its reputation as a Hyehwa pasta favorite, each menu item stood out visually from the start. As soon as our orders landed on the table, the savory, spicy aroma hit our noses and built up the anticipation before we'd even taken a bite.

The noodles in the gochujang butter pasta were cooked to perfection, and the sauce soaked right into the noodles instead of just sitting on top. Whether you go for cream or tomato-based sauces, you can't go wrong here — I could taste the deep, rich flavor of a thick sauce. It cut the greasiness while keeping the savory depth, so I enjoyed it to the last bite without getting tired of it.

The Omil steak came out plated so neatly with Instagram-worthy styling that it was great for photos. Thanks to the clean tableware and fresh ingredients, the meal was a treat for both the eyes and the mouth. The portions were generous too, so the two of us finished full and happy.

If you leave a Google review or a receipt review, they give you a free drink, but I was too busy to do it this time. I'd recommend others come with time to spare, leave a review, and enjoy that drink.
