I've been staring at my computer a lot lately and my eyes were getting tired, so I decided it was time for blue-light-blocking glasses! Oval frames caught my eye as the pretty option, and while I was in Namdaemun I dropped by 007 Optical and found a frame that was totally my style..👓❤️ Price, location, exam equipment, friendliness — all perfect. Where is 007 Optical, and where can you park?

007 Optical is on the 1st floor of Sangdong Church at 30 Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, open 09:00–19:00. If you use the Sangdong parking lot in the same building, you get 1 hour free parking.

007 Optical is just a 3-minute walk from Hoehyeon Station Exit 7✨ The storefront sign is big so I could spot it easily even in busy Namdaemun👍 And since parking is available too, it's super accessible even if you drive!

Clean, comfortable, and packed with a diverse lineup of frames — made me want to start browsing right away 😎

I think I'll come back to 007 Optical mostly for the reasonable prices! Every pair of glasses has a color sticker so you can check the price without having to ask each time, which made me feel really at ease 🤭 (White 30,000 / Yellow 50,000 / Blue 60,000 / Red 70,000)

The opticians also helped me try on glasses comfortably (some places kind of hover and make you feel subtly pressured 🥲) but here there was zero judgment no matter how many I tried on 🤍

And it turns out YouTuber Sunwoo Yong-nyeo has visited this optical shop! I'm a huge fan of her channel so I was so happy to see it!!! She wears unique, distinctive glasses and sunglasses, so quite a few other customers had also come after seeing her videos!

I'd already decided on oval frames, so I tried really hard to find the one that felt most comfortable on my face🤭 I must have put on and taken off glasses for a good 30 minutes because I liked literally all of them!!!!!!

The leopard print was so cute, and the wine-colored pair was also really nice ㅎ Then I started wondering if I should just go safe with black frames, and fell into an endless loop of indecision…😱 So which frame did I finally choose? 👀

What the eye exam at 007 Optical involves

Once you pick your frame, it's time for the eye exam..! 007 Optical's exam equipment was totally state-of-the-art (eye profiler, Zeiss optometry solution). I had smile lasik surgery in Gangnam two years ago, and honestly this felt better than the machines they used then…👓 They walked me through everything really thoroughly and carefully, from vision testing to checking for astigmatism ✨ I ended up learning new things too, which was nice haha

How long the glasses took to make

Even though there were quite a few customers, they said the glasses would be ready 30 minutes after the exam, so I went to check out trendy Namdaemun Market in the meantime! 30 minutes..! That's top-tier speed for busy modern people ❤️🔥

In the end I went with the leopard-print oval glasses! 💛 The lenses weren't too small so they actually made my face look smaller 🤭👍 The leopard print is cute but also stylish, I think I'll wear these a lot!

I went with blue-light-blocking lenses, and while I've heard 'this blocks blue light' plenty of times at other opticians, 007 Optical actually showed me the blocking in action, which was so reassuring and cool! 👀✨

I'm truly obsessed — it's my own pair of glasses but I still think they're so cute 🎶
