Family birthday Italian meal in Seongnam: Tobeu Nain Pangyo

With my child’s birthday coming up, I spent days wondering where we should eat. A meal at home felt a little disappointing, but I also thought somewhere too quiet might make my child feel restless.

After searching for Italian food around Pangyo for ages, I found Tobeu Nain Pangyo Main Branch (토브나인 판교 본점). With everything from pasta and risotto to pizza, it looked like each family member could pick something they liked. Honestly, until we sat down, I wondered whether my child would eat well—but to give away the ending, I really did not need to worry haha.

The address is the 1st and 2nd floors, 56 Sasong-ro, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. The first-floor restaurant is open daily from 10:30 to 21:00, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 and last orders at 19:50. The second-floor café is also open daily from 10:30 to 21:00, with last orders at 19:50. Use the dedicated parking lot in front of the restaurant; if it is full, parking is available nearby.

A Spacious Interior That Works Well with Children

The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how spacious it was. Even coming in with a stroller or children’s things, the pathways did not get blocked, so it was easy to move around.

The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, without that feeling that we had to rush up as soon as we finished eating. That matters more than you might think on a birthday, when conversations run long. Between taking photos and talking about the cake, time flew by, but we did not feel self-conscious about staying.

Because we were with a child, there were moments when things got a little loud, but the generous space meant it did not feel like a big issue. It had a feel that worked both for adults visiting quietly and for people bringing children. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy an unhurried meal with family, I think you will like this sense of space.

Menu and Prices

We came after searching for Italian food in Pangyo, but once we opened the menu, choosing still took a while. To start with the price range, pasta is ₩18,900 to ₩25,900, and pizza is ₩22,000 to ₩26,000.

There is also Tobeu lasagna for ₩21,000, a panuozzo set for ₩19,500, plain soufflé for ₩18,000, and an Americano for ₩5,000.

The signature item is authentic wood-fired pizza, made in a wood-fired oven certified by the Naples Pizza Association.

On the dessert side, the signature soufflé pancakes and egg tarts seemed to be the standouts.

We chose four dishes: truffle white ragù pasta, cheese oven Bolognese, steak porcini risotto, and Bismarck pizza.

Truffle White Ragù Pasta

The truffle white ragù pasta was the first thing I reached for. The truffle aroma rose up as soon as I picked up my fork, and it was the most memorable plate of everything we ate that day. It is an aromatic dish, so it may divide opinion, but our family kept going back for that very scent.

Cheese Oven Bolognese

The cheese oven Bolognese was completely different in character from the pasta, so it was nice to alternate between them.

Steak Porcini Risotto

Adding the steak porcini risotto gave every plate a different direction, which made changing up the order of bites fun.

Bismarck Pizza

Another memorable dish was the Bismarck pizza. Both children and adults could pick at it easily, so it ended up being the first plate we cleared :)

We ordered four dishes, and what pleased me most was that none of the flavors overlapped. Usually, when you order several things, two or so start to feel similar and you stop reaching for them halfway through, but here we finished everything evenly.

The portions were generous, too. Even sharing, it was a satisfying full meal—enough that we were full without ordering dessert. If, when looking for Italian food in Pangyo, you want somewhere good for a group to share rather than a place known for just one dish, this should suit you. My child also happily alternated between pizza and pasta, making all my worries about what to choose for a birthday meal seem unnecessary.

The Second-Floor Café Where We Spent Time Before Eating

The second floor is a café, and the interior was so pretty!

We ordered downstairs, then came up with the children!

While my husband waited for the food, I spent quite a while upstairs taking photos and playing with the children haha.

It is a great fit for anyone who does not want to argue over choosing a menu on a day when the whole family gathers, such as a child’s birthday. Adults can share pasta and risotto while children have pizza, and everyone comes away satisfied.

I think it would also work well for families getting around by car, or for gatherings that want to sit and talk slowly for a long time.
