Anyang restaurant date night with squid ink risotto: Two Find Peter
In short
Two Find Peter Beomgye Branch is a restaurant in Anyang, Gyeonggi, with pasta and risotto under soft lighting. The tomato pasta and signature chicken salad were good, but the fire-grilled squid ink risotto stood out most. Verdict: a calm choice for a slow date-night meal.

A calm restaurant atmosphere in Beomgye
I visited Two Find Peter Beomgye Branch (투파인드피터 범계점) while looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Beomgye. My first impression when I walked in was that the ambiance was much nicer than I expected.

I visited Two Find Peter Beomgye Branch (투파인드피터 범계점) while looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Beomgye. My first impression when I walked in was that the ambiance was much nicer than I expected.

With glass-block walls, soft lighting, and an overall dark, subdued mood, it seemed great for a date or a quiet meal. The tables were spaced comfortably apart, and the tidy interior was also nice for photos.

What we ordered by tablet
Once seated, you choose and order directly from a tablet, so it was easy to take my time looking through the menu. Let me introduce the dishes I tried that day one by one.

How was the tomato sauce pasta?
Rather than being tangy, the tomato sauce leaned slightly mellow and rich. With seafood, mushrooms, and vegetables in it, the flavor felt more abundant when I ate the ingredients together instead of just tasting the sauce.

The sauce coated the noodles well, so each bite brought through the deep tomato flavor quite nicely.

The squid ink risotto I remember most
This was the dish that caught my eye from the look of it alone. Plump, grilled squid sat on top of the black squid ink risotto, and it looked appetizing from the moment it arrived. I’m definitely ordering this one again next time! 🤣 The rice was cooked to the perfect doneness, as people like to say these days!
The squid was not tough and had a smoky char and nutty flavor, while the squid ink risotto was savory and paired well with the natural umami of the seafood. Eating a piece of squid with the risotto made the nutty flavor come through even more strongly. Personally, this was the dish I remembered most that day, visuals included.

Salad served with signature chicken
The salad was the kind with plenty of grilled meat over fresh vegetables. The deep flavor of the meat and the freshness of the vegetables worked well together, making it nice to eat between bites of pasta. Pasta alone can start to feel a little rich, but having the salad in between felt like a reset for my palate.
After trying everything, Two Find Peter initially felt strongly like a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, but once I ate, it clearly was not a place relying on atmosphere alone. There were plenty of choices, including pasta and risotto, and the food was not overly intense overall, so it was good for a slow meal while on a date.

How was it for a dinner date?
The lighting is especially soft, so I think the atmosphere would be even better in the evening. If you are looking in Beomgye for somewhere to talk calmly over pasta or risotto instead of going to a very noisy Korean barbecue place, it is worth visiting at least once. Personally, I’d like to try another pasta dish if I go back next time 😊
