I went to Mixed Table, a good-vibe lounge bar near Sinnonhyeon, for one of those days when you just want a light beer, a highball, or a glass of wine. There are so many restaurants and bars around Yeongdong Market, so it's perfect for a nice dinner followed by a light second round of beer or highballs. With its atmosphere, music and interior feel, Mixed Table is also recommended as a wine date spot in Sinnonhyeon.

Mixed Table, with its great atmosphere, sits in the food alley near Sinnonhyeon's Yeongdong Market. The building entrance has the Mixed Table sign together with a menu board, so it wasn't hard to find.

The entrance to Mixed Table is covered in moody posters. Known as a place with great atmosphere, it's recommended for a Sinnonhyeon wine date or for a highball or cocktail. Wondering what kind of space awaited, I stepped down, one step at a time, into the basement where Mixed Table sits.

Down in the basement, Mixed Table opens up into a fairly spacious room, and the mood created by the music, lighting, and space was really lovely.

We'd come for a light beer, so we sat at the bar seats! Once we sat down, the staff lit a candle for us. Mood +1, haha.

Kaymak and melon 19,000 won, Heineken 11,000 won

What we ordered at Mixed Table: kaymak (Turkish clotted cream) & melon for ₩19,000, and a bottled Heineken for ₩11,000.

We ordered Mixed Table's signature menu, kaymak & melon. I was already full from a first round of dinner, so ordering something heavy for the second round felt like too much — but kaymak and melon happened to be on the menu, and it seemed just right as a light dessert. I'd never really had kaymak properly before, so I was excited to try the kaymak and melon combo at Mixed Table.

Poured a cold glass of beer for a light drink on a cool autumn night! I love beer, so that's what I ordered. There are only two kinds of bottled beer, Heineken and Guinness, and there's no draft beer, which was a bit of a shame. Mixed Table also has wine, cocktails, and highballs, so it's the perfect spot for anyone who loves to drink.

Kaymak is a Turkish dish, a dairy product made by setting milk and fat into a cream-like texture, usually paired with honey and eaten with bread or fruit and more. Sweet kaymak with sweet melon — how could that combination not be delicious? Pairing the soft kaymak with the sweet melon was pure honey-flavored bliss! A weekend spent enjoying cold beer alongside a sweet, delicious dessert.

Is Mixed Table worth it for a second round in Sinnonhyeon?

I couldn't believe the kaymak and melon combo was this good — before I knew it, the plate had disappeared in the blink of an eye. It was so delicious that even though I was full, I couldn't stop reaching for more! I completely fell for the charm of kaymak at Mixed Table, my go-to Sinnonhyeon wine date spot.
