Whole whelk stew set and soju at Yeongdeungpo Korean pub Buchigom
In short

After work, going straight home felt like a waste, and I'd been craving bossam (boiled pork wraps) for a while, so I started looking for dinner options. I didn't just want bossam though — with the cooler weather lately, I wanted something to go with a drink too.

That's how I found Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch, a Korean bar that also serves whole whelk stew, and decided to drop by for dinner and a drink.

Bossam and whelk stew together sounded like the perfect combo for an after-work drink, so instead of picking individual dishes, I went with a set that lets you try several menu items at once.

Especially in this nice autumn weather, I love drinking outdoors with a breeze rather than staying cooped up inside, and this place looked like it could work well for a Yeongdeungpo-gu Office pub gathering, so I walked in with high expectations.
Where is Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch and how do you get there?
Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch sits on a corner alley after exiting Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station Exit 4 and walking inward — not hard to find at all.
The folding doors out front were wide open, so on a nice day you can catch the breeze and enjoy it like open-air seating. It almost felt like sitting on a terrace, which set a great mood for a casual after-work drink.
Inside Buchigom: folding doors, mood and seating

The overall exterior of Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch had a clean Korean-bar feel, and the interior wasn't overdone either — a comfortable space to just sit and enjoy food and drinks!

There were several tables good for 2-4 people, making it a good fit for dinner with friends, a date, or a small get-together.
The seats by the folding doors especially seemed like they'd deliver the full atmosphere on a nice day, so I'd want to grab that spot next time.

With this kind of vibe, it seemed like a comfortable choice for office workers looking for a Yeongdeungpo-gu Office pub for a work gathering.
Buchigom menu: sets and à la carte dishes
Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch has plenty of à la carte options, but what caught my eye were the set menus that let you enjoy several dishes at once. There's the Buchigom Jusanggang Set, Hansang Set 1, Hansang Set 2, and the Guk-sang Set, each combining different dishes — handy for group orders.
If you want dinner plus drinks, a single set is already quite filling, and if there's a bigger group, you can add on more à la carte dishes to share. The à la carte options include handmade blood sausage bossam, raw whelk salad bossam, natural whole whelk stew, and a range of pancakes like the original minari pancake and green onion & shrimp pancake.

It also seemed like a good spot to come on a rainy day for makgeolli (rice wine) and pancakes. For us, wanting bossam and a soup dish together, ordering the set was the easiest way to go. So if you're hunting for a bossam-and-whelk-stew spot near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, this set menu is worth checking first.
What comes in the ₩54,000 Buchigom Juansang Set?

- Buchigom Jusanggang Set ₩54,000 — whole whelk stew + Buchigom bossam + original minari pancake
- Chamisul (Saero) ₩5,000 × 3 bottles

Cabbage came out as the basic side, along with salted shrimp and ssamjang to go with the bossam, chili soy sauce for the pancake, and chogochujang for dipping the whelk.

What I ordered that day was the Buchigom Jusanggang Set!! It comes with three dishes at once — whole whelk stew, Buchigom bossam, and original minari pancake — pretty hearty for a dinner menu.
Buchigom bossam with minari salad on top
I started with the bossam, and the portion was more generous than expected — satisfying right away. The meat was sliced thick but boiled tender, not chewy at all!
But honestly, what I liked even more than the bossam itself was the minari (water dropwort) salad served alongside.
The fragrant minari tossed in a tangy sauce refreshed my palate, and it paired really well with the plain, savory bossam. Piling minari salad on a piece of bossam with a bit of salted shrimp gave both the meat's savoriness and the minari's aroma at once — I couldn't stop reaching for it.
Bossam can get a little heavy midway through, but the minari cut through that nicely.
The dried radish strips weren't the usual thick-cut style either — they were thinly julienned, with the seasoning soaked in well, and went great with the bossam.

Piling the meat, radish strips, and minari together in one bite gave a nice mix of textures — a pretty rich mouthful. So even if you come for the bossam alone at this bossam-and-whelk-stew spot near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, definitely try it with the accompaniments too.
How was the whole whelk stew at Buchigom?
The whole whelk stew that came with the bossam was visually generous, packed to the brim of the pot.

True to its name, it had plenty of whole whelk plus clams — great news for seafood lovers. The broth had radish and green onion in it, and the longer it simmered, the more the ingredients released a clean, refreshing flavor that paired well with drinks.
After eating meat like the bossam, taking a spoonful of the hot broth felt like a palate reset. The whelks were left whole, so there was fun in fishing them out one by one.
Dipped lightly in chogochujang, the chewy texture plus the sweet-and-sour tang matched perfectly with soju. Especially with both whelk and clams in there, the broth had that distinct clean seafood flavor that kept me coming back for more spoonfuls. Ordering meat and soup together meant the flavors didn't feel one-note — a solid set combination.
The original minari (water dropwort) pancake
Lastly, I tried the original minari pancake, which was loaded with minari and didn't feel heavy on flour, which I liked.
The outside was crisply fried while the inside was packed with minari, so the fragrant flavor came through more with every bite.

Rather than the usual heaviness of a greasy pancake, the minari's aroma and texture took center stage, making it a great pairing alongside the bossam or whelk stew.

When is the best night to visit Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch?
With so many pancake varieties, I'd love to try another kind with makgeolli next time. Overall, Buchigom Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Branch was a great Korean bar for dinner and a drink after work. The bossam, whole whelk stew, and minari pancake all complemented each other well, and ordering the set made it easy to try a bit of everything at once.
On a nice day, opening the folding doors for that open-air feel works great, and it also seems like a solid option for casual drinks with friends or a Yeongdeungpo-gu Office pub gathering.
Above all, if you're searching for a bossam-and-whelk-stew spot near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office and want somewhere with plenty of Korean drinking-food options, this place delivers — I'm already looking forward to coming back for another round with different bossam or hot pot dishes.
