Baekkkomi and I have hit our 7th anniversary already! It's wild how fast time flies, haha.

For this 7th anniversary, we finally went to Dasi, a Jungnang-gu restaurant that had been on Baekkkomi's must-eat list forever.
We originally found it just looking for a decent bar nearby, but coming back this time for our 7th anniversary made it feel even more meaningful (^з^)-☆
Where is Dasi? Location and opening hours
Dasi is an izakaya on the 1st floor of 160-1 Gyeomjae-ro, Jungnang-gu, Seoul (jibun: Myeonmok-dong 118-24). It's open 18:00 to 2:00, and 17:00 to 2:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, closed every Sunday.
It's a good spot for anyone looking for a date place near the Jungnang-gu Office, checking out Myeonmok-dong restaurants, or wanting food and drinks together near Dongwon Market.
The anniversary event: a mini rose and a name card
There's a special reason Dasi is great for a big occasion — their anniversary event!
Whether it's a wedding anniversary, a birthday, or even a get-together to hand out wedding invitations, they prepare a mini rose and name card for the occasion. If you book ahead through Naver Reservation, the owner personally calls before your visit to check exactly what you're celebrating 📝
I booked for Baekkkomi's sake to mark our 7th anniversary, and they had a mini rose and a special name card ready for us! Seeing it all set up nicely on the table made me weirdly proud, even though I was the one who arranged it — hehe.
A small touch like this really does lift the whole mood of an anniversary. It got our 7th anniversary evening off to a great start!
What's in Dasi's 35-piece assorted sashimi platter?

What we ordered that day was
- Kirin draft beer
- Yuzu highball
- Assorted sashimi
- Abalone intestine pasta
That's what we picked. Starting with the star of the show — the assorted sashimi!

The dish comes out to 35 pieces total, generously loaded with flounder, tuna, salmon, octopus, steamed abalone, monkfish liver, and scallop all at once.
Depending on the day's stock, they randomly give either sweet shrimp or scallop.

There's such a wide variety of sashimi it's fun to pick one piece at a time — great as a shared drinking snack for two!

We enjoyed everything we ordered that day, and Baekkkomi, who loves sashimi, dug right in too, haha. The white fish with just salt...! It was so good even without wasabi, salt alone was plenty. Good quality meat and fish really only need salt >_<
The rich, creamy abalone and its intestine... I fell for it.
The moment you dip the sashimi in the owner's own house-made doenjang (fermented soybean paste), it's basically game over!
A light drinker's pick: Dasi's yuzu highball

Dasi is a bar, so of course drinks are a must?! Pingji's choice was the yuzu highball!

I'd recommend this to anyone like me who can't hold their liquor. The staff recommended it to Pingji directly too! (Though... I somehow didn't get a photo of that exact menu item, oops.)
The alcohol taste wasn't strong, it was pretty mellow, so it went down easy 🍋 With the bright yuzu flavor added, it paired really nicely with the sashimi for light drinking. Not too sweet either! I genuinely finished a whole drink that night for the first time in ages...
Total shock, haha. Usually I nurse one drink slowly, but this one was so easy to sip that it was gone before I knew it!

Meanwhile Baekkkomi cracked open a cold Kirin draft beer first and then moved on to soju too! Truly an alcohol lover, haha.
Since getting married, Baekkkomi's been pacing it a bit more than before, for the sake of the household(?), and honestly it looks pretty cool, haha ♡
Rich, nutty abalone innards pasta
Next up, the abalone intestine pasta!

This dish really brought out the rich, savory flavor of abalone intestine.

The sauce was thick and smooth, so it worked really well with the noodles, giving a hearty feel that was totally different from the sashimi. Personally, along with the assorted sashimi, this was the dish I remember most from that day ♡ (We only ordered two dishes total, so this was a pretty successful pick ^_^)
Starter dish and the complimentary sweet potato mousse fritters
Before the meal, Dasi served an amuse-bouche too — kind of a potato mousse(?) feel. It was soft and sweet, a nice way to whet the appetite before the main dishes. Pingji, who loves this kind of soft dish, gobbled it right up, haha.
And then, the luckiest moment of the night!

The owner gave us a complimentary sweet potato mousse fritter(?)! I'm a huge fan of cheese balls, so there's no way I'd pass on a chewy, sweet dish like this, haha. The sweetness of the sweet potato combined with the chewy texture was delicious, and drizzling honey on it made it even better (yay 💛)
For the record, this isn't just a complimentary item — it's actually a regular menu item you can order! Haha, if you're like me and love cheese balls or chewy sweet treats, keep an eye out for it on the menu!
One thing to watch out for though >0< The inside is really hot... 🔥 If you try to eat it right away like we did, you might scorch the roof of your mouth, so I'd recommend splitting it in half with your chopsticks and letting it cool before digging in, haha.

Why Dasi works for an anniversary date in Jungnang, Seoul
That day, we ate our fill of delicious food at Dasi, the well-known Jungnang-gu restaurant, each enjoying our own drink of choice, and had a really nice time celebrating our special 7th anniversary ♡
Seven years already since the day we met — thinking about everything from dating to marriage, time really has flown by. It started out as just a bar Baekkkomi found nearby, and coming back here for such a special day felt like a memory in itself.
I don't think a special day has to be extravagant. Good food, a little something prepared for each other, and a story you'll remember for a long time — isn't that enough?
More than anything, our 7th anniversary date was happier just for being together with Baekkkomi! Looking forward to making more small but fun memories over good food from here on out.

End of our happy 7th anniversary record ♡
