This time I was looking for somewhere to have dinner near Pangyo Station and ended up at Bacha Pangyo Branch. I eat in Pangyo pretty often, so when I was looking for a place that works for both dinner and a light drink, this one caught my eye haha

The name itself was a bit unusual, and the food lineup turned out to be more varied than I expected, so I came by for dinner lol

From the front of the building, you can spot the glass exterior with 'vrtr VARCHAR' written on it, so it wasn't too hard to find. At the entrance, the signature dishes were prominently displayed — bacha seafood jjim (steamed seafood), sous vide pork jowl, onion boneless chicken, and pollack roe cream pasta.

Blue-accented interior at Bacha: is it good for a work dinner?

Inside, Bacha Pangyo Branch is mostly black with a deep blue accent running through the space, and there's seating from two-person tables to bigger group tables, so it looked doable for a work dinner or gathering. Once I stepped inside, the atmosphere was actually nicer than I'd expected from the exterior.

The lighting was soft too, which gave it a different feel from a typical dining bar haha. A long blue object hangs from the ceiling, and posters and framed pieces on the walls give it a bit of a gallery feel lol

On one side there was a display of various liquor bottles including whisky, which really set the mood for having a drink. The tables weren't cramped either, and with seating from couples to larger groups, it looked good not just for dates but also for work dinners or gatherings in Pangyo haha

Mozzarella chili shrimp: spicy sauce under melted cheese

Bacha Pangyo Branch's mozzarella chili shrimp (₩22,000) is plump shrimp in red chili sauce with melted mozzarella cheese on top. The first thing that arrived, and it made a strong first impression just visually. Picking up a shrimp pulled the cheese right along with it haha

The sauce was sweet and spicy at once — bold, but the kind you keep reaching back for lol. The shrimp were plump with good bite, and there was a generous side of fries too. The fries came topped with a creamy sauce, so alternating between spicy shrimp and a fry mellowed things out nicely haha

Pollack roe bacon cream pasta, the best dish of the night

Bacha Pangyo Branch's pollack roe bacon cream pasta (₩22,000) ended up being, personally, the tastiest dish of the visit — better than I expected. The plate was loaded with cream sauce, with pollack roe and bacon on top in the center lol

Cream pasta topped with pollack roe and bacon

The cream sauce was quite smooth and savory, and the salty kick from the pollack roe kept it from feeling too rich. Bacon and mushrooms were mixed in too, which made the noodles even better haha. Chili shrimp was the bold, spicy dish and the cream pasta was the mild one, so ordering both together turned out to be a great pairing lol

Truffle cream cheese croquettes, the side dish worth adding

The truffle cream cheese croquettes (₩10,000) came as several round fried croquettes with a cream cheese sauce in the center.

Truffle cream cheese croquettes with dipping sauce

The outside was crispy and the inside soft — fine on their own, but dipping them generously in the sauce made them much richer haha. If you feel like the mains alone aren't quite enough, this is a good side to add and share lol

Is Bacha Pangyo Branch good for dinner and drinks in one stop?

Bacha Pangyo Branch felt more food-forward than a typical bar — more of a dining bar. The brand itself says it's aiming for a space where a meal flows naturally into whisky, wine, or highballs, and visiting in person, I could feel a bit of that atmosphere.

Even visiting mainly for dinner rather than drinks, like we did, the menu was varied enough to be plenty satisfying haha. Next time I'd like to try the bacha seafood jjim or sous vide pork jowl we missed this round lol. If you're looking for a Pangyo bar or dining bar near Pangyo Station with a nice atmosphere and a varied menu, Bacha Pangyo Branch is worth checking out 😊
