Dinner tonight: burgers in the neighborhood with baby. This Jamsil favorite, Daily Fix, sits in the basement of Jangmi Sangga Building B. Daily Fix already has several locations — this craft-style burger chain has branches in Gangnam (main), Seocho Gyodae, Euljiro, Seoul National University area, Pangyo, Jangmi Sangga, and Hannam. They just opened the Hannam-dong location recently.

Jangmi Sangga is a mall I used to visit with friends back in school for Popeye's snack food (뽀빠이 분식). Daily Fix's Jangmi Sangga branch is a 10-minute walk from Jamsil Station, 15 minutes from Lotte World Mall, and conveniently close to Park Rio, Le Reve, Jangmi, and Jugong 5-danji apartment complexes.

This Jamsil favorite is also popular for delivery. With Jamsil Hangang Park and Olympic Park nearby, it's a great pick for a picnic menu too.

Daily Fix Jangmi Sangga has a nice variety of seating, plus their own house-brewed craft beer. Personally, I think ale pairs best with a handmade burger, so whenever I stop by Daily Fix I always order the IPA. The flavor is really distinct.

And the flavor itself is like nothing I've tasted elsewhere — it's one of the reasons I end up ordering it every time I visit Daily Fix.

How does the Korean beef double cheeseburger taste?

We ordered the double cheeseburger + fries + cola set. I'd had the double cheeseburger here before and loved it enough to order it again. Two Korean beef patties, Swiss cheese, and American cheese make for a salty, savory, meaty flavor — a true classic American-style burger. The bun here is especially good; its texture and flavor pair perfectly with the fillings, so the whole thing feels well balanced.

The Belgian 18mm fries look distinctive right off the bat, don't they? For babies who love potatoes and sweet potatoes, this is a must-order side. Honestly, I'm fine eating a burger without fries, but I got them because the baby loves them — and sure enough, 17-month-old Hajun tucked right in. He's at the age where he plays by himself, nibbling away at fries and sweet potato fries one by one. Haha.
