Goyang restaurant near IKEA for grilled fish set with crab and oyster
In short
Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa is a seasonal grilled fish restaurant near IKEA Goyang, in Seongsa-dong, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered the seasonal grilled fish set for two with 200g of seasoned raw crab and 100g of Tongyeong raw oyster jeotgal as side dishes, plus sotbap (hot pot rice) and the self-serve banchan bar. With a large dedicated parking lot and banchan that weren't too salty, it was a good spot to bring parents.

Parking and exterior
This IKEA Goyang favorite, Min Cook Apbadang, isn't tucked into a busy urban block — it sits on a quiet street, which actually made it easy to reach by car.

It even felt a bit like a countryside drive, which I liked. Being on a corner made it easy to spot, too. There's a large dedicated parking lot for the restaurant, so I never worried about finding a spot.
The atmosphere inside
Walking in, you're greeted by a bright, spacious dining hall. The tables are well spaced and everything felt spotlessly clean overall — an atmosphere where anyone, any age, could eat comfortably.
It seemed like a great place to bring parents, and just as good for a family meal out.
Today's grilled fish changes a little day to day — the lunch special, the seasonal set, and even the number of diners all affect which fish come out.
What we ordered
- Seasonal grilled fish set for two
- Seasoned crab 200g (side dish)
- Tongyeong raw oyster jeotgal 100g (side dish)

There's a neat self-serve corner off to one side where you can help yourself to more of the basic banchan (side dishes). It was hotel-buffet-level hygienic, which I really appreciated.
What's in the seasonal grilled fish set for two
The 'seasonal grilled fish set' gathers the freshest, most delicious fish of the current season onto one table.

With the neatly arranged banchan, freshly made sotbap, and warm soup all added, just looking at the fully spread table was reassuring.

Lifting the lid, steam rises to reveal glossy, chewy rice packed with grains. They use good rice, so the rice alone had a sweet, nutty flavor.

There's soft, springy japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) that's a staple at Korean feast tables, various tangy seasoned namul (seasoned vegetables) and kimchi, and a fresh salad. The banchan overall weren't too salty — light but savory — genuinely dangerous for how much rice they made me eat.

The seasonal fish comes out perfectly grilled, crisp outside and moist inside. There's an inverter installed under the plate, so the fish stays warm throughout the meal — a really nice touch.
I usually want to eat fish often since it's good for you, but standing over the gas stove at home grilling fish means smell and grease, so I don't get to eat it much. Eating clean, well-grilled fish out was such a treat.
Side dishes: seasoned crab and Tongyeong raw oyster jeotgal

The banchan were so good that I got curious and ordered the seasoned crab 200g and Tongyeong raw oyster jeotgal 100g as sides. These weren't harsh, factory-made banchan — they tasted like dishes made with real care.

By the entrance, they also sell the very banchan we ate at reasonable prices — grilled fish, sikhye (sweet rice punch), seasoned crab, soy-marinated crab, shrimp jeotgal, abalone jeotgal, and more.
My review
I tried the seasonal grilled fish set for two at 'Min Cook Apbadang,' the IKEA Goyang favorite. It's easy to see why it's already famous around Seongsa-dong, Goyang — hygiene, taste, price, and atmosphere were all excellent. My first thought was that it would be a great place to bring my parents. If you're looking for a restaurant near IKEA Goyang, I strongly recommend 'Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa.'
