What kind of bar is Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro?

Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro is a solo-drinking bar on the 2nd floor of 40 Mareun-nae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, near Euljiro 3-ga Station. Solo-drinking bars are all the rage these days, so my friend and I hopped on the trend too!! We ended up at Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro, one of the hottest solo-drinking bars in Euljiro right now!!

The entrance has that moody Yahwa-style vibe (lol). The door looks closed but it's actually open, so just walk in with confidence.

How does the Friday night waiting list work?

At Yahwa Euljiro, you write your name on the waiting board that's right there as soon as you open the door, then wait your turn. Even though we went on a regular Friday evening, it was hot Friday night after all — there were so many people there was a wait..!! Unbelievable.... That's when I really felt how popular solo-drinking bars have become — it's that big a deal, huh?

After you sign the waiting list, you sit on the bench seats behind it and wait. There isn't a separate waiting room, so even while waiting we could already soak up the atmosphere of Yahwa Euljiro — loved that!

Interior and free self-care items in the waiting area

Passed the time checking out Yahwa's interior.. There's a giant mirror to check your look, and if you look closely there's even contact lens supplies;; such attention to detail.. deodorant spray, hand cream, mouthwash and other self-care items all set up — what a nice touch!!

Free house snacks and QR code ordering

Once you're seated at Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro, they bring out a chicken-leg snack and Bouchard sea salt chocolate as the house snacks. Both are the kind of thing you can't stop nibbling little by little;; am I right? Even if you're already full from dinner, you still gotta eat these.

First round: Jun Bug and Catharsis cocktails

For our first round, my friend got the Jun Bug and I got the Catharsis. The Jun Bug is apparently a coconut-melon blend with a resort vibe. It really was sweet and tasted so nice sipping it down like a soft drink! Big recommend for anyone who loves sweet drinks!

This one is probably the Catharsis.. or maybe not the Catharsis.. Refreshing, clean, and you can feel the buzz! A cocktail I'd strongly recommend to anyone who doesn't like sweet drinks.

Sipping away one glass at a time, before we knew it our glasses were empty and it was time for round two!

Second round: Kahlua Milk

For the second round, my friend of course went with Kahlua Milk. Kahlua Milk is what dreams are made of. Sweet, creamy, basically impossible to mess up! If you like lattes, just trust me and order this.

Here she is, stirring away diligently.. I have no idea how good this is going to taste..

Honestly I can't remember what this one was.. I think this might actually be the Catharsis. The one we had earlier might've been something else, and since it was a little strong maybe we just ordered our usual go-to..? Anyway, it was refreshing, clean, and delicious.

Chatting with the next seat: the solo-bar atmosphere

If you sit around at Yahwa Euljiro long enough, you end up chatting with all sorts of different people — such a range of jobs, ages, everything, it was really fascinating. Everyone gathered in little groups, happily spending their Friday night. That's a wrap on my Yahwa Euljiro experience!
